This is a true introvert. He's openly awkward but holds back verbalizing true emotions. While also being overly honest about the trains of thoughts that he does express, without withholding on those. Now I don't know if he is socially awkward, but, based on other people who I've met like him, he probably is. Not that he's antisocial, but very much "anti" socializing standards. In other words, he is just himself. :)

"True colors" came from pigments, so the absorption or reflections of the photons occur inside the molecule of a substance ( i.e mustard yellow), others colors in nature came from the interaction of the light waves in nano sized physical structures like very thin transparent objects (i.e. soap bubble, some birds feeders, insects skin etc). I think that special pigment is talking about that. And there are artificial colors too, that is made from mixing single wave length that are combined in ours retines to make it looks like a "real" color (color monitors). If you want to understand more, look for the videos "Why Is Blue So Rare In Nature" from "It's Okay To Be Smart" channel and "Why you can't take a good picture of a rainbow" from Steve Mould. I'd like to express my gratitude for inspiring me on a few different levels. First off, I spilt a splash of tea on the counter and before I wiped it up, I saw the beginning of creation in it, I could never draw but I'm going to give it another try. I love how you said, that you are the pen. I took that to mean that you just let creativity flow through you. So, when I say, "I can't draw", it occured to me that maybe the "I" is my problem. I'm going to practice that... just getting out of the way. Next, I've been watching your videos pretty much straight for the last week and a half, day and night. At first, I was fascinated by your ability to draw. You draw the way a bird flies. Then, I listened to your old podcasts and again was fasinated. I like how you don't whine about life being unfair or strut your opinions on anything really. You don't pull any emotional triggers. You seem to embody the philosophies of the new age gurus on KZbin. Keep it simple and be in the moment. They preach it, making millions but, don't really seem to know how to practice it. Arrogance just radiates from them. The humility is a nice break as well as an example for me. I am also touched the way you appreciate other people's art work and gifts, so gracious. Thank you for your uploads. Your channels are truly a blessing to me. I'm sorry I went on for so long but, I've already edited this way too many times.

Peter, you should check out Brian Goulet’s pen cleaning video. A simple ear flushing bulb works great to flush the section, nib, and feed as one unit and then cleaning out the converter by itself is much easier. He’s also got videos on how to adjust your nibs, sometimes the tines can be mis-aligned or not spaced apart properly. I highly recommend Brian’s instructional videos. J. Herbin = J. “Urr-bahn, roughly. Judging by the shape of the nib and clip, that unbranded pen might be a Platinum, I’m not too familiar with all their models though. Something that might be helpful for you and your audience is to know the distinction between the colloquial names for the types of fountain pen filling mechanisms. You’re sooo close to having it down, but I’ve noticed you calling pens with piston converters “piston fillers” or “piston pens” and that can be a little confusing because of pens with a built-in piston, like your Moonman T1 And TWSBI Eco, being commonly referred to as “piston fillers”. Pens that use a piston converter are usually called “converter” pens or “cartridge-converter” pens. Just a tiny difference, but it might help. Oh, the tines on extra-fine or fine nibs can be too close together for the glitter in shimmering inks and they can get gummed up in the feed or nib pretty easily. I definitely recommend using a broader nib, at least a medium, for your shimmering inks. Plus a broader line shows off the shimmer more. I think that’s all the questions I can answer... oh, a photon is a particle of light. Ok, that’s really it. I hope this was useful, I’m no pen expert but I have learned a lot over the past few years, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. I love your videos, I’m a long time viewer and they’re one of the highlights of my life, I’ve learned so much from you and you’ve been just a massive inspiration to me. Keep on keeping on, dude.

I started giving my pens names because it helps me calm down to blame the pens when I have problems. All of my clear Noodler's are called 'Chuck'. I've been thinking about getting some colorverse inks, especially the mars set. I just spent about 2 hours cleaning a bunch of my demonstrators the other day too. I've been playing with some water soluble inks lately, especially some sheening/duochrome type inks that will split up and that's kind of fun. You might like to try it. You can do it on yupo paper but it takes a LOOOOONG time to dry but the sheen stays. I like some buttery pens but I also like that feedback sometimes of the scritching. I had a good convo with viewers on reddit today about how much more likely I am to make smooth/curved lines or long lines with buttery nibs and the ones that give me more feedback I want to be more loose with and more jagged. As far as Noodler's inks- It's all named by Nathan. He loves Baltimore and he loves politics. Check out his youtube sometime, it's wild. He talks directly about the names of the inks. Damnit I wasn't gonna buy any more ink but that purple bruh

@@peter_draws Well, I call the clear demos 'Chuck' like '2 buck chuck', because I have so many of them, so the name is like Blue Chuck, Orange Chuck just depending on what ink I have in them. Sorry I edited. I was typing while working and adding lol. The fancier pens have more elegant names and the workhorse pens like my Lamy have names like Henry. My new TWSBI Emerald Green is 'The Wizard' but I've yet to find a name for the Prussian Blue one. The Eco grey is 'Erle'
@annejae70584 жыл бұрын
It's so weird to see someone use these things for art. In my country, children use them in school for their lessons and exams. Especially Lamy is a very famous and often used brand along with a couple others. And since it's mandatory for mostly 5-8 years, most people can't really stand them anymore at some point. Most grown ups rather use ballpoint pens. I for my part hated them soooooo much. They often leaked, staining your hands and your pencil case. They were hart to remove and annoying to write with, if you didn't use the right one for your writing style. and they slowed you down so much. BUT ones writing was much neater, because you had to take your time and watch what you're doing (and it was sooo satisfying when you found the right one for you, because your point would just smoothly flow over the paper. Best moment ever).

I totally needed your silliness today to make me smile. Did not at all expect the super fab claws from the post it notes. Glad I clicked on this video.

Love that art installation in Lebauer Park. Laid on the grass underneath it and watched it blowing in the wind when I visited from across the pond. Very sanative!

I can't put my finger on why exactly, but I have become very fond of you Peter. I feel like you're doing a good job! Thanks.

I watched your video while I sewed a Rendr paper sketchbook together for Inktober. Two enjoyable activities at the same time makes me feel like I'm getting a handle on my time management.

If you insist on laying it down when not using it, a chopstick rest or something similar might be helpful for keeping the moonman m2 in place. The wire spiral from a notebook might be a functional low cost organizer too if there is a dedicated space.

I never realized how high quality your camera was because you're usually in the dark. That outside footage looked really nice!
