We need to keep natural selection happening some how. As long as you listen to the experts and stick to the paths, your chances of dying are fairly slim. Geologists get much closer than regular people are allowed. I’d say Yellowstone is more dangerous, not because of the volcano because that’s literally the least dangerous thing there, but because of the animals and the stupidity of people.

When I was in college a few professors and grad students were roaming around the mouth of an active volcano doing research in Columbia when it decided to erupt. It was terrible! About 3 died and a number were injured. It's a very risky profession.

I saw some weird ass video of a ten year old girl that was playing by a volcano and started dancing before slipping and falling down onto her butt, then was sitting down, and while she literally sat there still, she basically cartoon-style slid into a volcano and just died right there. like wtf

It might be true. A 3rd degree burn already damages your pain receptors and reduces the pain. Imagine a lava burn.
