the WHOLE key is to comprehend. Do not memorize. Comprehend the subject, recite it and if writing works better for you, do that. DO memorize the BOLD letters on the list that you have, then explain the commentary. THEN apply it as you drive for the driving test. IT IS NOT to recite the commentaries one by one as you drive. It is to apply the commentary as the situation happens. If you are a person that is always late, no matter what, well...leave that for another day. YOU MUST be on time. It is military style. Just accept the one week training as it is. YOU ARE NOT THERE TO MAKE FRIENDS!! Go prepared and pay attention. That you owe the rent, that your wife or husband is cheating, that you have $10 bucks to eat for the entire week...EVERYTHING MUST BE out of your system. Focus. Pay attention. Be on time. Be detailed. Apply the knowledge and your eyes are on the instructor. Do your computer work alone. Keep your area clean. Push in the chair. Know where your folder is and the number. When you are ready to jump on the bus, be the second or third. TAKE the seat and do not apologize. THAT person will CARELESS if you pass or not. IT IS YOUR SKIN. YOUR FUTURE. OWN IT!! DO NOT look in the eyes of the instructor. He or she will be looking for facial hair very close up but if you TRACE his eyes...you just made an ENEMY. Your eye sight....STRAIGHT! One week before the curse, practice on your car, play KZbin videos on your car (Blue tooth), DESCRIBE....RAISE and keep a STRONG voice CONSTANT. The major hurdle is describing the driving. The other stuff is manageable. Do not get nervous. GET A HOLD of yourself. A skinny man, an overweight woman, a middle age person...RAISE THE VOICE, TAKE CHARGE, OWN IT, SOUND LIKE A SARGENT, OVER DO IT, ATTITUDE OF YES OR YES AND YOU MUST BE AS DETAILED AND ATTENTIVE AS YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN. Look at yourself at the mirror after reciting the 5 habits and 10 comments and scream...FIRE JOHH!!! FIRE MARY!! FIRE...FIRE..FIRE!!! ............THAT IS what you are going to give them with your personality: FIRE. If you do this and pass, then comes the real thing. One month of route and if you fail, you are done. YOU must keep the same ATTITUDE AND DRIVE. Having said that.....you are in line for $36 per hour and $54 overtime....AND....Season is coming. If you finish day one, go to day two. - Many activities during the day will keep you busy so do not waste time.. - No socializing. - If you are called, get up, push in your chair and go. If you get up for the restroom, push in your chair. If not, when you come back, your chair is gone for about 20 minutes. Do not go and get it. stay in your spot and keep going. The instructor will tell you when to get it back. DO NOT worry about the eyes from the other members. - Bring protein bars for any hunger urges. drink water. - You will be with a partner The same partner for the entire week. two per truck. feed from each other. Point blank. - On the road test, drive like you are driving your grandmother and child on the back of the car. If you do, you are done. think of this: you come back KNOWING something happened but when you returned to your seat, no name on top of the computer. Then you are called and told that you are DQ. You are told to leave and go to the parking for the van to pick you up. The instructor will go ALL the way to the hotel, check you out and thank you. The van will take you the long way to the airport or you will drive 4-5 hours alone....all alone. You may take the trip alone from Integrad to the hotel, only with the driver. .....DO YOU WANT THAT? NO!!....DO NOT HIT A CURB!! This is what you do: when you get to a stop sign or traffic light, stup then turn A BIT to the left, cut tight and go LANE TO LANE, look at the mirror to the right, lower mirror, slow, proceed. Stay away from the curb. Put it this way: you can cal " left intersection clear" and there is a car. Mix eye lead time with following distance, etc. You go back and review to improve. BUT IF YOU hit the curb, that is it. - If you know you did HORRIBLE, ask, learn improve but quick. Go out at night to practice if you need to. Do whatever you need to do. Ask your partner for guidance OR you might be good in computer but not so food in driving. Help each other. - For the INTEGRATION area, now the layout and follow the keys on the DIAD to press. Even if you cross the streets by walking, look LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT. Show them you are looking LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT. - Concentrate on the computer work, improve your driving skills, ASK and do not look at the time. Just keep going. - TIMMS: TRAFFIC LIGHT- HAZARD. I passed!! with the picture you your book with your name and number. Report on Monday but you will not work most likely that day but on Tuesday. Report at 8:40 is your time BUT you will ARRIVE AT 7:30. Now you go on a truck for your route in the next 30 days. know it, eat it, sleep it, make love to it. Go in your car and drive the route. Get a good map of that specific area of your route. Know it. After 3 days, you are on your own. Keep the truck clean, wash it twice per week, no trash.....just like the uniform. Keep it clean and pretty. It is your new baby, house. Now you can buy me a coke. :)

Le Beluga Caviar WHEW got damn! Wish I would’ve read this before I went to integrad this is the best description of my experience as well. My instructors were all pretty nice but I remember one guy went to use the restroom or something and left his DIAD at his desk. Guess what? They took it away for a while and pulled him into the office. He never left his DIAD alone for the rest of the class and went on to graduate along with me and 22 others out of our class of 28.

Barry Glenn Prob depends on where you go for Integrad. I had the option to write it out BEFORE reciting so I did. Was easier that way for me as I could just read what I wrote word for word because I learned them by writing them over and over and reading them out loud to myself

Congratulations, for intergrad just remember your 5s & 10s, after that when you end up at your center find out who your supervisor is and ask him or her as many questions as you can think of. For me it took 3 weeks to develop a routine, I'm still new but its going well.

The 10 point commentary for UPS Freight has been updated and is different. The points are in a different order. First point has to do with how much space when stopped. It is much more detailed. Would like to see a version of this posted.

Thanks soooo much for his video! I have this down but I do better if I understand. That said. Number 2, the explanation confuses me at the end. "Instant cushion if it should make a turn"? If it is stalled out then it wont make a turn? Expect the unexpected so the car could make a turn at random once restarted but once you decide to drive AROUND, there isn't really cushion anymore, now said car is beside you? And probably really close. Once said car is started the decisions from there are 100% random on their end, I feel eye contact and horns would be better, Especially if the driver does not use their mirrors. I'm not changing rules, i know i'm over analyzing. Just trying to process and understand EXACTLY what that last part refers to, because im pretty sure i'm interpenetrating wrong. Because cushion from the car in front is great, but once you decide to go around there are a million things that could still go wrong. lol But that's it, everything else is gravy. Thanks again!

So, I have been give the go-ahead to start Driving School for UPS as soon as I know the 10 Point Commentary and 5 Seeing Habits word for word. What I want to know is do they really mean word for word, or would I fail in class if I wrote "car ahead" instead of "vehicle ahead" during testing? What I'm trying to say is, what if I know every thing, but accidentally omit a word, or say an incorrect phrase, but with the same meaning?

Hey! Did you pass? I am flying out this Sunday to ATL for Intergrad and super nervous. Any suggestions or tips? I know my 5s and 10s but get stage fright when it comes to public speaking. Do you have to say your 5s and 10s I front of the class or just a sup?

This is the most unnecessary requirement I've ever heard of for getting a job. Here in Atlanta it's a total of 15 safety points you have to repeat, word for word, BEFORE they even let you go to class. Which seems kinda backwards considering they pay for your DOT physical. Why spend money if they can fail this part? I had my interview 2 weeks ago and was given the 2 page list to study, or no job. I did the physical and background check and went and finished the assessment on Wednesday, during which they were telling warehouse employee seasonal new hires they can put in for the seasonal drivers position also, so basically they only have 1 week to memorize this info. I'm losing sleep over this and barely have 4 memorized with 4 days left. I know I'm not going to have this memorized. Its Saturday, on Monday I'm going to call and ask if I can go into the warehouse for the holiday season, so by jan 15th I'll have everything memorized for sure, then bid on a package driver position when it becomes available. The issue isnt remembering it, it's the amount of time available to do it. Its another guy I talked to, he had this info months before, so he had it memorized before he tried for the position.

LUCKIEONASIS Nah you can do it. I had a week to memorize my 5’s and 10’s before I flew off to integrad. That was over a month ago. I was an off street hire and tomorrow is my last day of my 30 day probation (which means after I finish my route Monday I’m in the books officially and have seniority) I’m killin it and so can you. You’ve got this.

Ashley Paige Not in my experience. When I did my driving drill with commentary at integrad it was much much more intense. For several minutes I had to talk out loud non stop about where I was looking and about any hazards on the road. My road test at the local center to get accepted to be enrolled in integrad was much easier

@@CatSpaceStudio I'm sitting in my hotel room at the end of day 4. Don't be nervous to the point of losing sleep. It's not the end of the world if you don't have it memorized day one. However it's fast paced and some topics are difficult and some are easy. You can work on memorizing them when you finish the easy topics, but if you have them all memorized, you can work on the more difficult topics taking a lot of the stress off. If I could go back in time and give myself advice on day one I'd tell me to not stress out. Write them all out a few times and do your best. Then again I haven't actually passed yet. I still have one more day. Good luck!

I dont know this word for word. I just perform it like muscle memory while driving. But my center manager wants me to get it world for word...I have piss poor memory recall for trying to learn this stuff. I learn by doing and executing on the road or doing anything else in life.

Your list is different than in Jersey =/ 1&2 are swapped and the "How" is totally different, you don't even mention the "why" my teacher would fail that easily. We take our test Wednesday its an oral and verbal on both the 5 seeing habits and the 10 point commentary. If it's not word-for-word we fail lol
