Yeah, idk what was up with the last evo being completely unrelated. Almost like a greenish fish turning into an orange octopus, or a blue snake turning into a chubby orange dragon with small wings that can still somehow fly by breaking the laws of physics and gravity, but pokemon would NEVER do that, right?? ;)

Yeah like Shaymin (gen 4) and Virizion (gen 5) being a cut gen 6 starter that was split across generations. So not only are Game Freak time travellers, instead of reusing or scrapping the pokemon they made the first two into one pokemon with alt forms, and the last one a legendary part of a seperate trio with completely unrelated theming to Shaymin. Like yeah, ok buddy don't pull a muscle with all that grasping at straws.

It should be noted that Cubone's parent ISN'T a Pokemon other than Marrowak though, at most it's just a scrapped idea. Cubones are born with the skull. I believe that rather than the bone on Cubone's head really being from it's mother, it's just a legend about Cubone that was passed around.

Given that the original design for Porygon2 was going to represent a different animal entirely, I feel like the original concept for the Porygon line was going to have the technology taking the form of different animals as it evolved, and not just different variations of a bird as the line ended up being. loved the video Hoops! could Koffing also possibly be inspired by the original balloon Pokemon? I think it was stated in a dex entry that they are an outer shell filled with toxic gases (which was news to me- I always thought of it as a porous floating rock) so it's sorta similar? also I am so tired of the Pokemon Masters ads bc like I would love to play it and give them my money but my phone isn't compatible!! and it's frustrating being taunted for something I can't have at the beginning of every Pokemon video that I watch to ease the ache in my heart caused by my lack of access to PM!..... Baloonda should return as a balloon pokemon as well, make it a fairy flying type. you can rework the proto porygon 2 into its evolultion as a balloon animal pokemon.

Every point made for Raitora = Raikou was just wrong. Lol. Rai means thunder, they’re black and yellow because they’re electric types, and them both being semi-feline isn’t really significant because one of them actually looks like a big cat and the other is a ball, probably a gen 2 Pikachu clone

The video is great and brings a lot of good ideas, but I feel like the "gen 1 pokemon being part of different evolutionary lines" and everything was actually misinterpreted. If you look at the red green sprite leak, it's clear that the order the pokemon are put in is actually just the order they were entered into the game, and not actually how pokemon were intended to evolve. Pokemon that are evolution lines in the final game that aren't together in the beta sprites doesn't mean they originally part of the same line, just that they were designed at different times.
