Add silica gel for moisture protection. Cover on top and not on the bottom as it damage the corners the longer you put that way.

Are you able to tell if these cases are tapered towards the bottom at all? Like, does it get skinnier as the case goes towards the bottom? Mostly just worried it could damage corners on the etb

I don't think it tapers towards the bottom. It has a close to perfect fit. I've seen a lot of people use them and no one has mentioned damaged edges

It is tapered towards the bottom but still wide enough to hold and fit the ETB without issue. Just don't flip over with cover on the bottom so it will not damage the corner.
