Theory, the scientist in the lab in the dream-yard of Pokémon BW2, may have had something to do with what happened at the strange house/mansion. There is a spoon in the Dream-yard, along with a bunch of medicine like sleep potions where the scientist are. They are also aggressive, and didn't the final scientist have a Drowzee and Hypno ......? (Sorry for the reposting....KZbin be tripping....)

When I was a kid, I always thought that Gastly was just a Cloyster after dying, specially cuz their Pokedex numbers in the og series are #91 and #92

I've never understood why some people refer to the Three Beasts as dogs. One is a Tiger, one is a Lion and the last is a Leopard, none of those are dogs. If anything, they are the Three Cats, but most commonly we just call them Beasts.

I heard this very interesting theory about how the Professor Oak found in Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow and FireRed/LeafGreen is actually an imposter until after you become Champion. The theory goes that Prof Oak was kidnapped shortly before the games start and a pretty convincing imposter takes his place. But the imposter has a few slip ups that should have exposed the ruse but no one really notices. The first clue that this is a fake is the fact that he doesn’t know the name of your rival despite living with him and him being his grandson or your name despite being your neighbor for years. Secondly he doesn’t seem to know that much about Pokémon unlike future games where he told you all sorts of information about different Pokémon. Third is the fact that this Oak seems to be impatient and won’t talk to you for long periods of time. Fourth clue is he never leaves his lab after he finds you in the grass at the beginning of the game until you become Champion which is rather odd considering Oak is found multiple times outside of his lab in other games. Fifth hint is how he acts when he gets his Parcel. He announces what was inside as if it were a birthday present and didn’t know that he was getting something that he had ordered. And finally he berates you rival and tells him that he lost because he didn’t “love and care” about his Pokémon but the thing is that your rival had an extremely consistent team the entire game and only replaced one Pokémon from his party mid way through the game. Now who sent over this imposter was Giovanni who needed someone near Viridian City and Cinnabar Island who would be able to hear any news about unusual Pokémon activity that might involve Mewtwo. Giovanni was trying to find out where it had gone after it had escaped to recapture it.

The Pokeball piece has actually been confirmed to be incorrect bye Game Freak. As they stated with Legends that pokemon I'll have the ability to shrink down into a very small size. So my guess is it's just forcing them into a ball in a small size.

The Arceus we see is a vessel the real one use to interact with the world, his true form is unknown and probably will never be revealed. Pokémon can alter their sizes and become smaller that's how they can fit into Poké Balls. This informations were said in PLA and debunk the last two theories.

Honorable Mentions: *Cubone is a Baby Kangaskhan *Genesect is actually a Kabutops *Planned Evolution -Take Carvahna, Sharpedo and Garchomp for example. Their color scheme, yellow star, and ripped fins suggest Garchomp was meant to be an evolution for Sharpedo. Something similar happened with Pachirisu and Emolga, and Luvdisc and Alomamola.

The Pokéball bit was explained a little in a handbook from Japan. Curling up into a small ball is a defense mechanism when they are in danger. Legends Arceus explains this a bit too.

It has something to do with the lack of workdbuilding at the time. That also had the PokéDex state that Raichu can easily knock out an *Indian elephant* long before retconning it to Copperajah in Legends Arceus.

I mean, the reason Arceus can be captured despite being "god" is kinda explained in the Legends: Arceus game afaik. Not only does Arceus say that "Arceus" is only the name humans know him as (suggesting that the real entity is something else entirely), but he also implies that the "capturable Pokémon Arceus" are merely avatars of the real Deity it bestows upon worthy trainers.

When it comes to the Paradox Pokémon I have my own theory that I feel makes more sense. Instead of these Pokemon being from the past and future instead they are from different universes. The Scarlet Mons from a universe in the prehistoric era and the violet Mons coming from a futuristic universe. Which is why there are prehistoric versions of Raikou, Suicune and Entei that come from that universe. In the legend of how Ho-oh resurrected three Pokémon to make those three still happen in the normal universe.
