My prediction for The Last Of Us Part III is that Ellie will later discover that her immunity can't be made into a vaccine to cure the Cordyceps Virus and also discovers that there were others with the same immunity as her, but they're all dead. The Fireflies do find a cure, but Ellie takes what she learned hard because innocent people like her died and that her life has no purpose.

This guy I saw on KZbin made a theory that the next games main villain would be an unknown masked man who would be hunting Abby and her firefly companions throughout the story making the fireflies start losing hope. But then later on in the game, it would be revealed that the main villain is actually immune like ellie

I imagine the last scenario where Ellie goes under for the surgery and the game ends but I feel there should be a sign that things are changing for the better and the cure was found , just like how they did in the main menu where it changed to show Abby and Lev did make it to the firefly base , there should be a main menu change where in the beginning theres a barren wasteland and when you finish the game you see a tree planted or hear kids playing and animals running around meaning that life is returning to the area and it leaves to the audience interpretation that the cure did work , leaves it on a ambiguous but hopeful note.

A cure doesn't even make sense though, Ellie is still seen a SA target towards the zombies and they will still kill her it basically just means that she won't turn into one when she dies so same would go for everyone else if they were injected with it then all that would happen is that they would turn into one of those things

I hope Ellie teaches herself to play guitar left-handed in the 3rd game. It would be nice to see her sing the song from the end of the TLOU2 and be able to hit all the notes again. I think the missing fingers are a metaphor for a connection with Joel that Abby took from her. Watching Ellie work on and practice relearning guitar with her other hand would make a great metaphor for healing and closure, especially if we get to watch her progress happen throughout the game and by the end she's just a good a she was before showing that even though the parts are missing, you can still make yourself whole.

Totally should be a thing that happens. It would take years but man I hope they do this, hell I hope they make us do this as an ongoing story beat that also involves story segments. Ellie is poorly playing after switching but you find a left handed guitar, that is rarer than regular. The guitar is damaged, but you search for parts to fix it, teach yourself to play it, find music or tapes around the world and learn them. I’d love for them to evolve it as it’s own mechanic that might only trigger cutscenes but offers a challenge you could otherwise skip

There is so many things I'd like to know. Like, how Dina and JJ are doing? Does Lev and Abby get to the fireflies? Does Ellie and Tommy gain the Uncle-Neice bond? Do Tommy and Maria patch things up? There's so many more questions I would like the answer to but the thing is..I think the games should be untouched. As much as we want to see the characters again and for our questions to be answered I don't think there should be a third game. Using the same characters drags everything out farther than it needs to go. But new characters just change the game's genral feeling. Naughty Dog would do a good job but would it really be a good game?

Maybe a third game could rectify the fireflies’s incredibly reckless plan to immediately kill Ellie instead of studying her first. There’s no reason Ellie has to immediately die for a cure to be made.

Them cultivating the mutated fungi was the most practical thing they could have done though. One sample as Ellie vs possibly billions of farmed cultures. They could try over and over and over again to get the 'cure' right. Ellie dying was just a by-product of the process because they don't really need her body and after 20 years into the fall of humanity they didn't have the means to keep her alive during open brain surgery. Hopefully this time around they could pull it off though, getting a biopsy, without it killing her.

They don’t study her. They don’t run any tests. They just decide to kill their one chance immediately. I could see Abby actually being the one to bring this up in a hypothetical scenario in a third game.

To keep this as short as possible. I’d like to see it follow 3 main story line Joe and Tommy (past events) Ellie and Dina and Abby and Lev. I foresee Ellie and Abby teaming up to take down a similar foe. I foresee Tommy, Dina, and Lev dying in SOME kind of manor that PROGRESSES the story and I foresee Ellie indeed sacrificing herself to make the cure for mankind. Perfect way to end the entire Series imo.

I really Wonder how naughty dog is going to squeeze Joel into the marketing for part 3 and I wonder if they will actually show gameplay for all the players you actually play as in the game this time too. When I was playing part 2 I was thinking of so many different ways the story could’ve went and it was very funny to me that the second most players started actually playing as Abby they killed her immediately by jumping off a cliff it shows people didn’t like this sudden change of POV. Also the game wouldn’t have happened if the characters weren’t so lucky for Ex they could’ve just killed some other guy named joel or what would they have done if he was already dead they had no idea what he looked like

Abby was pregnant when she fought Ellie - we saw the first symptoms of pregnancy in the game. The exchange of blood during the fight means that Abby's child is immune - Ellie's immunity arose because her mother was infected while pregnant. Through the game Abby comes to understand why Joel did what he did and she suffers the same dilemma.

People really dont understand, Joel did the right thing on saving Ellie. The Fireflys didnt have the research on making a cure, they say "If it works", meaning that they were'nt even confirmed 100% sure they can make the cure, they also were egoists in getting the cure and killing innocents to have it, hell look at what they did to Joel, they didnt wanted to listen and go egoist on killing an inocent life over a "not sure will work" cure. Also, Ellie wanted to feel like she is worth something, due her being alone and losing alot, but she didn't notice that she wasn't alone at all, Joel has become into her "Father" and she become his "daughter", so, in a good script, she should of have understood the situation and her mindset will have not make the diference, more like = Let's say you die, and all people survives, do you think they will be greetfull for that, you have notice it right, do things your way and you wont save anyone. Lastly, for Ellie to give her life for a "If" cure, what have the world did for her? For her to give her life for it? Not even me, the world can go to shit, more important things are love ones, not comunism like the Firefly who were more likely to abuse the cure If they ever got it, to take control with an iron fist. TLOU2's story writting is bad if you think about, Ellie not like being save and wanting to die for nothing and for people who dont give a shit about her and her being selfish + errogant to the person who takes care of her and saved her, giving her a new life, is bad writting.

I’m guessing you’re referring to Ellie letting Abby go? That was not forgiveness, and Ellie found no redemption after it. She barely escaped with her life in Seattle and then traveled 950 miles to track down Abby again and was drowning her before a dumb plot device had her let up.

Part 2 left me so sad and empty. Like…my emotions have never been affected by a video game before this one. I would like to know that Dina and JJ are alive and well, presumably back in Jackson. I would like to see Ellie return to Jackson and (maybe) reconcile with Dina, even if they don’t end up being back together. It would make me feel better knowing they both know each other is alive. It’d be cool to see more interaction between Ellie/Tommy and Ellie/Maria. But since Maria runs Jackson I don’t anticipate her getting much time outside of that community in a third game.

It’ll be interesting if now that Abby is at the Fireflies HQ, she’ll start hearing more details about the failed cure. I could be wrong, but I don’t think Abby knew the *specifics* besides her father being killed by Joel. I’m also sure she just assumed Ellie was a random terrorist avenging Joel. Things will start to click as she realizes that Joel only killed her father to save Ellie. Little did Abby know, the person that was chasing her down & killing her friends, was not just a girl avenging Joel, but the immune girl on the table. This could provide a full circle moment. Where TLoU2 had Ellie chase Abby for vengeance, TLoU3 could have Abby chasing Ellie for union & all-around redemption… In hopes that Ellie would be willing to go under the knife once more, to potentially, cure the world.

I have similar thoughts for me I believe Abby will enter her fathers studies and become a doctor for fireflies like him. And like most stories the kids smarter then the parent so she will find a way to do the cure without killing Ellie which will lead to her traveling to find Ellie and gaining her trust maybe protecting Ellie’s town or something. Then give them a Mutual enemy where they need to work together before the game ends with Abby doing surgery on Ellie

@@xxfdxx4500Hell no. Did Joel club Abby’s father to death? I don’t think so. Abby gave him a nasty death, with Ellie considering to spare her friends life but which refused to comply and fought back. Like Owen darting for the gun. Mel attempting to knife her. Did Abby show any qualms when she realized Dina was pregnant had it not been for Lev? Even Ellie was shocked to realize Mel was pregnant. If anything, TLOU Part 2 seems to demonize and draw hate upon the audience towards her vs Ellie’s revenge against Abby.

Pt 3 will begin with Abby and Lev finding the fireflies who are in contact with a firefly cell from South America who has the oriiginal Patient 0 who is infected and contagious but not turned or growing fungus from their body. One of the doctors working their finds out that by combining both Ellie’s and patient 0’s dna a cure can be made but only if they are alive. This will take us to back to pt 1 where Joel saving Ellie from the surgery actually saved the worlds only hope for a cure.

Part 3 needs to focus on showing the fireflies doing something competent. The TV show made them look inept, and the games didn't make them look much better. To make a cure believable they need to make us believe the fireflies can succeed at a single mission let alone undertaking making and dispersion of a cure. Maybe the conflict is the high up fireflies become corrupt with the power that comes from having a resource the whole world needs and see themselves becoming worse than fedra

To be honest In order for tlou to move in a direction thats both new and Familiar i think a new cast is needed alongside a different enviroment they should let us see how the rest of the world is doing? What kind of infected they have to deal with and how does it effect the wildlife around. That would be most intresting to see. Although i still dont see part 2 as a sequel(my way of couping so dont make any counter argument) i still want to see more of this world

That would be a good idea, but after part 3. Ellie's story isn't complete yet, but after that they should make a prequel game with Joel and Tommy and your idea about other storylines set in other countries around the world during the outbreak. My personal idea is they should make a game set a few centuries after Ellie's time. I think seeing what this world would look like 100 or 300 years later would be very fascinating.

Ellies finger for some reason grows back. It has something to do with the virus immunity, Ellie finds a new girlfriend and becomes a player. There will be a new Scar type of enemy. It is soon found that Ellie though immunce can spread the virus with her blood.

I'd like to see a flash forward to an aging Ellie as she passes due to injuries or old age. After she passes, the Cordyceps in her body begin to grow out of her and the cure begins to spread much like it did when it first spread during Outbreak Day. In an epilogue, the elderly Ellie leaves a note for JJ to read as she remembers the good and bad parts of life, her time with Marlene, Joel, Tommy, and Dina and as the world heals, the scant few pockets of survivors begin to start thriving once again as the "Last of Us"

My prediction to The Last of Us 3 is that the prologue to the final episode of TV series is bought into the game (Ellie got her immunity from her mother getting bitten while giving birth to her). After leaving the farm from the ending of the second game, Ellie comes across a house where she encounters a woman that just given birth with a dead infected beside her. She is bitten and gives the baby to Ellie before, you all seen that episode. Time skip 14 years, the baby, who Ellie calls Joel Jr who is 14, somehow gets bitten but doesn't turn. And Ellie finally realized why Joel did what he did with her as like Joel, she has developed a mother's bond with the Joel Jr. And the whole game is about Ellie trying to protect Joel Jr from the remnants of the Fireflies still looking for the cure and know all about how immunity from infection comes from. She has to choose whether to keep fighting to protect her son against the Fireflies looking for the cure, or sacrifice herself for cure as her redemption to prevent her son being sacrifice for the cure. I doubt that my version of the story for the third game won't be in there, but we can speculate on what the third game should be about.

I can’t see thou part 3 having a happy ending, I reckon it will be darker cus Ellie is on her own now and she will realise she needs a purpose in life, which is why I think probably near the end of the game she will “turn herself in” to the fireflies hospital and sacrifice her life. Only for the players to disvover that she died for no reason ending Ellie’s story and tlou.

I think Jackson infected is the best option and the whole story is Dina gets bit and ellie is tracking down abby to try and find the fireflies so they can get a cure to save Dina. Twist will be ellie undergoes the surgery and dies and Dina ends up being immune because of her intimate relationship with ellie.

I envision the third game ending on Ellie having to make the decision whether to live happily with JJ or to sacrifice herself. We cut to credits without knowing her choice. She just says "Okay" to herself mirroring the end of Part 1 and we are left to interpret what it meant.

These aren’t really predictions, just random speculative plot lines based on nothing. They could easily just be 10 plots for TLOU part 3 generated by Chat GPT. A far more useful video would be around the overall direction the series could go in, which elements of he gameplay will likely be focused on, which characters are likely to return etc and WHY!

That was probably the best prediction I’ve heard so far. That seems to incorporate everything necessary to naughty dog and the game - being emotional (they love to %@#% with our emotions), incorporating everyone (even bring back Joel! And finding a good role for Tommy who can’t do much - I couldn’t think of a way to include him beyond one or two conversations), and staying true to characters while wrapping everything up and letting us see more of the country and new infected. Honestly the part about Tommy dying where Sarah died…wow. Well done!!! I’m subscribing based on just this video. Wow.

It could maybe be like in life is strange:true colours,where in each chapter you can make Alex(the main character) choose in between a few outfits,if you go into her wardrobe.However you can also get a dlc that allows you to have her wearing outfits which reference characters from the past games.

I fully expect that we are going to see "Ish" the character mentioned throughout a large part of the "LOU2"... There was a reason for learning a bit of this persons story, I can't imagine that was just for nothing. All through the game they used foreshadowing you don't see till later in retrospect, they have to bring this person in and it's rich in possibilities I think.

The only person left with a pursuit of revenge and vengeance is Tommy. So I sort of feel like he will be the unknown enemy until the end. By that I mean I think that Jackson will be overran. I don’t think Tommy is going to be able to embark on some long journey for revenge with Ellie. That ship has sailed. I think he will be pigeon holled to find the fireflies not knowing where it may lead them. Only to find out Abby and Ellie’s mom are fireflies. Maybe Tommy can’t help but seek revenge and kills an innocent bystander like Lev or Ellie’s mom (if she isnt gone already). During his pursuit of revenge against Abby. Maybe even after killing someone not involved in the revenge. Maybe Tommy will still redeem himself. I feel like we all know Ellie’s redemption arc. (Sacrifice for immunity). I don’t know how Abby could redeem herself to the audience. But she could rectify the situation by using her forgiveness to orchestrate and logistically supply the doctors. We all know deep down Ellie wants Joel back but she can’t really give her that. But she may be able to give her the opportunity for her life to mean something. Abby might be pregnant. She was tortured for two months at the rattlers camp. They didn’t seem like the best people. Maybe the journey is Ellie and JJ similar to TLOU 1. Maybe even JJ gets bit and Abby somehow witnesses it and it like brings the solidarity between everyone. Idk. I’m done thinking for the day.

I legit don’t and never hated 2, or Abby and Lev, but I don’t think we need them in 3. Unless we are going back to Ellie sacrificing herself for a cure, OR someone close to Elllie is also immune and wants to use them to find a scientist or cure that would lead us back to Firefkys Abby…I just don’t see how we would need another Ellie Abby encounter, we exhausted their whole relationship and I don’t think we could ever legit format that into a ‘working Allie’s’ and worse ‘still enemies’. This should be Ellie, maybe a new person or 2, but Joel flashback mirroring Ellie pt3. It is Ellie and Joel’s story. Pt2 was the huge double album 3 hour movie. Pt3 should be a wind down, a callback to 1, Ellie and Joel and wrap up their story definitely. They can write dozens of other stories and characters on this world but I do think even a smaller scoped shorter game just with the basics would be best, and because you do that you include the Factioms2 MP that is dead in the water right now and likely isn’t released. Come out in 2026/7 right when season 3 of HBOTLOU ends

Most of the predictions in the video are bullshit but I had also the idea of Ellies Lie. I would start the game with two silver Fingers (implant) and how Ellie clean the guitar and tells Maria about her time hunting Abby and that she didn´kill her (Review of Part Two). There will be for sure new charakters. Maybe about a Person who get infected, turned to a zombie and then will be healed. Maybe we can play this character and maybe play as a Clicker...:-))) Maybe we will see Bill again............on one of the journeys of Ellie or Abby. There are so many possibilities....

Restoring humanity is a lost cause in TLOU - we have shown time and time again, its not the cordyceps but the humans that we need to fear more - the society at its lowest and worst - so save the humanity for what reason? Since the third entry will be about forgiveness and redemption, it would make sense that Abby and Ellie are allies - and while Ellie dies creating a vaccine, Abby will be promised to take care of JJ - and while the vaccine will not entirely work it will help make others a fighting chance - and we will have TLOU part 4 with JJ and Abby going on missions around the world to save humanity as a legacy to Ellie

I say this as a fan of the series, first game is one of my absolute all time favorites, part 2 was such a disappointment story wise. Made me completely lose interest in the story and became a chore to play as Abby. I understand wanting to be edgy and shock value and all that, but it felt so forced and random I couldn’t help but to lose interest. Hope naughty dog can recapture the magic of the first one moving forward. I personally probably won’t buy a single player last of us experience as I have no interest in this story anymore.

TLOU is such a diverse story that it could be anyone's story. We have loved Joel and Ellie from the start since Neil chose them as the main characters but we have learned from TLOU tv series, a lot of characters out there have their own stories to tell. ND has a gold mine of a series and they could go on for years or even decades, exploring this beautiful series. Joel and Tommy's journey is a good start. That'd be a good prequel of some sort but not part 3, I think part 3 should still be abouut Ellie and her journey to uncovering her immunity and search on how to cure man kind. Maybe even a story about a grown-up JJ, maybe a story about Abby and Lev, Ellie and Tommy, an unknown character to be introduced in the future. So much story to tell. I only wish I live long enough to see this beautiful series unfold as the years come.
