So I felt it needed to be mentioned that dogs DO actually need their teeth brushed. Dental chews only help remove some of the tartar and plaque buildup, they don't actually clean the teeth. There is a reason why there are so many older dogs who only have 2 teeth left, but got dental chews 1-2 times a day their whole life. You can save yourself a lot of money and your dog a lot of pain by brushing their teeth regularly, the same thing we teach to our children, who also have teeth. The finger covers are used to get the dog used to brushing then when they are more comfortable you can switch to a toothbrush. The same for cats, though there are cat dental toys that have mesh on them to help with flossing as well.

The pet toothbrush isn’t only for day to day use, my cousins dog got sick and something they needed to do was brush the dogs teeth. When the dog was finally better she hurt her leg and needed surgery. The dog is fine now and recovering from the surgery well. Sorry this was a long comment.
