I use a rubber mallet that was a gift from being one of the first people into a sewing festival. It works great for the sewing room. Lighter than a hammer and easier on the fabric.

I love the inspiration! I'm gonna get a proper work bench now. Sewing tables are crazy expensive, but I found a good work bench with pegboard back, drawers, and a light for less than $200!

Thank you for sharing your ideas 🤗❣️ I really really like the baby Kobalt tool box! One handy item I found a Home Depot was a baby hammer-it’s the perfect size & weight for precision pounding plus it doesn’t take up as much space. And I sometimes use it to place a grommet or snap or even a key fob in, for that I use a small piece of scrap muslin to cover the metal to prevent scratches or dings. I also use a small clip on rechargeable headlamp style flashlight by Night Ize for extra hands free light when doing detail work-it has 2 light settings, a red light, and a flashing red light, you can also “charge” a glow-in-the dark fabric design quickly to check out the effect-I also carry one in my pocket for those times I need a bit of extra light or am in a fabric store and want to check out glow-in-the dark designs. My only other possibly helpful idea is I bought a small inexpensive pocket sized rechargeable black light flashlight by Anker from Amazon-it’s really helpful to see the white on white or cream on cream designs or the glow-in-the dark parts of a fabric design. Thank you again…..

I enjoy using a tackle box to house my sewing/quilting supplies. I bought it many years ago; it has a flip open top, but then the bottom flips open separately and has handy little containers in it which I can use to further subdivide my supplies.

Thank you for your ideas and presentation. I use the magnetic cup to hold screws, needle plate, little sewing machine screw driver, plastic drop-in bobbin cover, etc. when I clean my bobbin case and area. Even if an item is not magnetic, it goes into the cup to keep everything together. I gave one to my quilting sister for Christmas. “Every Girl Needs One.” She loves hers too.

That large ruler is a great idea. I use my dining table for my cutting table so, it will definitely work for me. I shop at Lowe's (it's closer to my house) and I also have the Kobalt toolbox🤩. I also use painters' tape too. I love your work bench. I would have taken that route if I had thought about it. My husband made my sewing table for me. I also bought insulation foam for my design board. I have one board in each room. Since they are very tall, I put them on their sides. Thanks for the extra tips!😊

Thank you for this video! I also purchased an LED light strip that you cut to length and put it under the throat of my sewing machine. The adhesive is great. Also a locking needle nose plier (hemostats in the medical world). Several different handles for my rulers. From hardwood cutoffs I made my own clappers, over 2 inches thick. Cost me nothing. A large drywall square. Etc. Saved so much money and made my life easier!

I have the same Home Depot cutting table by Husky. I chose the version without the drawers as I thought they might get in the way if I used the table while seated. I chose white just like you did. And the price was about $100 cheaper than a similar item at Ikea.

Love the mini Kobalt tool chest in so many colors. $20 on Lowes website. Just adorable and functional. Harbor Freight has many of these items too. I find the magnetic bowls handy for quilting travel. No stray pins and needles. And dropped pins are easily retrieved from the floor with it. I keep it in a plastic bag with seam ripper and small scissors. New subscriber.

Harbor Freight is my favorite place for storage. I love the black containers that are $2.99. They have a clear front that tilts open and they stack. I store pins, clips, needles (for my machines), etc. Also, the screw and bolts drawer containers are perfect for buttons or hardware storage. I only quilt for bags.

Me Too! I bought the magnetic bowls from there for $2 each on sale. My long arm has metal bars and metal sides. The magnets on the bowls are really strong and have never had them fall off or any of the needles or pins fall off. Also great for putting the screws from the needle plate when cleaning or clearing the needle/bobbin area. And I also bought small, stubby screw drivers from there. BTW, I just subscribed!

Love your hints about the hardware store! I am off to get several of the items that solve a problem I am having in my sewing room. FYI … not a complaint but just wanted you to know that when a viewer is using earphones like AirPods your intro is in Stereo but your content only comes out of the left speaker. I thought it was my AirPods but when I watch other channels the sound is balanced. I have noticed this in the past with other KZbin channels so it must be some way the content is recorded or edited for KZbin.

@@ginnielynn I have 2 large pegboards full of all my rulers… but yeah, I do have to hang those ones at the front because of the hook, and I mainly have them on my little square rulers, so I leave them out on the cutting board arranged prettily 🤗
