its crazy what was considered unflattering (mostly black features) and looking at what the world deems as beautiful now lol. ill never get cosmetic surgery because 1. love yourself, but also body trends change all the time
@King-zx4qr2 жыл бұрын
@@cadyg2531 Yeah I think its because the younger generations are getting more and more educated which is leading to more and more acceptance.
@cadyg25312 жыл бұрын
@@King-zx4qr that could be the case. However, I’m Gen Z and when I was younger being “thick” was considered being fat. I think it’s because rap and black culture is the new “pop”. Loving yourself is in now though, so the “black” aesthetic will be “out of style”. They’ll pick and choose what they want from other cultures very soon.
@Remember_the_Time2 жыл бұрын
@@cadyg2531 💯 I was talked about for how big my lips were, now people are over lining their lips for it. It's crazy to me because when this trend is over what happens then? Do these features go back to being ugly? Probably

Facts at the end, I'm mixed, and I look EXACTLY like my dad, but have yellowy skin lil lighter than my mom. Yes, the black and white kids were weird about that.and for sure plenty bullied in elementary school. My best friends were Philipino and another mixed girl who was bullied by the same kids and had to be transferred for it. And she was like, beautiful too if she grew up to be a model rn I wouldn't be surprised. Kids are crazy

It is very cool and great for these unique looking black people to finally get appreciated for their unique appaerance and not bullied (so much, I am sure they still experience some bullying). I am black myself, for some context. And I do still find it interesting that most of them (if not all, I don't remember), their uniqueness is having a predominately white physical trait. The blue eyes, freckles, and white looking baby with the blonde hair. I know that some black people have freckles (my sister does), but they are more sublte/very faint. The white looking baby could have been albino, that didn't seem to be clear. Plus all of them had a model-esk body type and facial features. I can't help but wonder if people with unique/rare physical features who don't look like models would get the same praise and be called beautiful because of their unique/rare featues. I also wonder if the uniqueness would be appreciated and admired if it weren't a predomnately white feature. These are just some thoughts that I had while watching the video. I did enjoy the video. I am very happy for these people. I empathize with the bullying they have experienced. And I love that they are being recognized as beautiful, as they should.
