Seriously, IIRC the man lost both of his legs due to diabetes complications and was living in destitute poverty before he died. You'd think that there would be something in place to help those men who gave so much of their life to this industry. Just something so they're not broke and homeless and at least have access to decent medical care. I mean, it probably wouldn't even make a dent in their in overall profits, especially considering there's so few wrestlers that even make to that age or are able to voluntarily retire in the first place.

I did the same. I even invented some new gimmicks etc. When I got bored. For example Al Sno became Vince McMahons friend and made money in the stock markets, he was Alan Snofield but in the end Vince stole his money LMAO. I had a bunch of black cards. I had one of Axe or Smash and one of Hawk or Animal. They look similar! Also had a Big Boss Man. I sold the Hawk/Animal on eBay in the early-2000s for around $150 - it was in nice shape. And I remember someone sold a pile of mint black cards on eBay years ago as well - they weren't opened ones, either. I remember going to Value City and they had the tag-teams on clearance - I remember they had the Iron Shiek/Nikolai Volkoff tag team boxed sets and couldn't move them. I checked eBay and they're going for over $400 now! Amazing! I wonder if any sealed cases are hiding out somewhere in some old toy store? One can always dream!

I own or owned most of those figures except for the LJN Warrior, the Hasbro Kamala, and other than that I have all of the figures, ring, and wrestling buddies expect for any of the AWA figures. I didn't even know they made them. All my figures are beat up though because that's what you did back in the 80's and 90's play with your toys. I'm amazed people even thought about things being worth money back then. I know they did with cards but not toys. Crazy how people still have these items unopened. I have that Elizabeth with the pink skirt and the Macho Man, Hulk Hogan with the red and white, Hasbro ring, Warrior and Hogan Wrestling buddies, Hart Foundation and Jimmy Hart. I have the LJN Kamala and so many more but their all in the worst shape possible.

I was never a fan of the large figures so I have a ton of the dis-continued micro series, where they only had movable arms, legs and spinning heads, no joints or necks. man.. I used to have so many of these... I still have the original WWF ring somewhere with the OLD figures that were big and made of heavy ass rubber. I made this game I would play with my friends where you pull them against the ropes and let them fly and the winner was decided by if A. They ended up in a pinning position or B. Flew out of the ring for a countout. Ill never forget the time I was using Andre the Giant and the only thing that saved me from a countout was the fact that his hair was so big he was hanging from it when it got caught on the top rope. I started collecting with the LJN series and have I believe all but 2/3 of them. They’re somewhere in my basement. Never realized how much they are. I know I have The Hart Foundation, Savage, Big John Studd, Andre, Hogan. I am missing Bart and Adam Bomb in the Hasbro. The only figure I have in the package though is my Jakks Blue Blazer.
