I think the Make-A-Wish thing is woefully undervalued. It's not like they were all granted now, when Cena is barely on TV. They were at the peak of his career, when he was one of the most active guys on the roster. His schedule would have been absolutely daunting between TV, house shows, interviews, meetings, travel, and who knows what else. But he still made the time. It's incredible, and honestly the one thing that should convince some folks out there of why Cena didn't ever turn heel after his peak.

@@singaporesammy If the first part of your sentence was "I want to respect his work" then what is stopping you? _Where_ is this emotional breakdown supposed to happen? In public? On camera? On social media? In the papers the next day when he's caught walking barefoot by the side of the road calling himself Jesus after a mental breakdown? I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm just trying to merely say just because a man doesn't cry in public doesn't mean he doesn't cry, period. I doubt he's doing it to be the Make-A-Wish GOAT. It takes something extra to _not_ bawl and cry at these poor kids situations, and instead remain positive and "make the kids wish come true". Something that I don't have, for sure, I'd be a wreck. But, if you really need that reinforcement of emotion... I would imagine none of it is in front of the children, but when he is thanked by the parents in the next room away from the children. The emotions aren't with the children, but their parents. The children don't and shouldn't need to know what is happening, let them believe in magic... a real wish, by a real superhero.

But outside the ring he got my respect as soon as i heard about the Make a Wish foundation (this goes way back, maybe early 2010s) ...
