Let’s not forget day/weekend trip accessibility 1 hour from cinci (+30 min for kings island), 1 hour from Louisville, 2.5 hours to Knoxville (+30 min for pigeonforge/gsmnp), 2.75 hours to Indianapolis, 3 hours to Nashville. I could go on but for someone that grew up in St. Louis with no other exploratory big cities within 4 hours it’s definitely a plus.

As long as your here legally by taking the steps to be an American like millions of others I'm an Italian girl my great grandparents took the mayflower and made Corbin Kentucky home. I'm actually hoping anyways to find an acre or 2 of land so I can put 2 tiny homes on it 1 for my parents and 1 for me because they won't be in any nursing home they will be next to me

@@Kitty-chan83 Yeah, I feel ya.. I live there and it's practical, clean, friendly, and spread out. It's just like anywhere in middle America. It is a firmly red state but the city has a slight liberal edge to it, but it ain't all up in your face with "pride" and crazy leftists, but it ain't a backwoodsy, hick town stuck in the 1890s either. It's a little bit of everything. There are some immigrants but its not completely over-run. It has a nice "town" vibe with a city big enough to find "your place", if that makes sense. There is also plenty of places to eat/stay, and plenty of things to do and places to shop, and has a good night life. It is also a big university/college town with a big fan base, the city is also located in the middle of the state with several bigger cities that have more to do and more to offer only an hour and a half to two hours away. You can find work here as well and the commute isn't that bad, there are alternative routes to take to get around the whole city, it is also a hub for other surrounding cities that are easy and quick to get to. Prices are relatively cheaper here( about 10% lower than the national average) too, and it is generally a safe place to live with plenty of decent apartments and neighborhoods to choose from in and around the area, and last but not least, it is a decent place to raise a family.
