Tobermory is a harbour village on the Bruce Peninsula in the province of Ontario. Just southeast, Bruce Peninsula National Park is known for the Bruce Trail footpath on the craggy Niagara Escarpment, and the Grotto, a wave-carved cave in Georgian Bay. The village lies next to Fathom Five National Marine Park, which is home to the Flowerpot Island sea stacks, 19th-century lighthouses and multiple shipwreck dive sites.

I can't express how disappointed we were with our visit to Tobermory in August 2022. We arrived from BC to visit some of the southern Ontario attractions. One of those attractions was Tobermory, of which my kids were very excited. What a complete disappointment. No beaches, crowded everywhere, reservations to park at a bloody trailhead, and could hardly even see the water. If the goal was to simply shuffle people along and take their money, they have definitely done well. We will absolutely never go back to this place. It reminds me of Tofino, end of the road, small place, touristy, and everything locked down and restricted. Seems only open to rich people. Couldn't even see or get to the lighthouse. We took a drive to the south along the Huron side, all the development along the water blocked access, with absolutely no where for the average Joe to even see the water. I'm a Land Use Planner, and this is a Planning fiasco. Thank God for Sauble Beach on the way home. Totally better place. Goodbye Tobermory forever, I would never recommend anyone to go to this place. But maybe that is what the administration is trying to accomplish? But wait, there was a shining star there, Shipwreck Lees, this place was great, including the owner. Kudos to that place.

Kinda feel ya on that tobermoery was definitely a no man's place and we only stayed there for the night and left the next morning definitely woudnt recommend anyone to go there blue mountain village seems alright I guess.

Love the colours of the houses in Tobermory!!👍. The Mishnish Hotel first led the way to a brighter future for Tobermory when its owner, Bobby MacLeod, decided 45 years ago to paint the property bright pink and later yellow, prompting others to follow and decorate the neighbouring buildings in bold blues and reds
