Zach Wilson should've never started his rookie year. He wasn't ready. The jets threw him into the fire way too soon without letting him sit for a year or two. Idk if he's an NFL QB, but he was doomed from the start

As a Jets fan I'll say this he should have never been drafted in the first round second round third round fourth round. Maybe kick the tires with him as a fifth-round pick. He benefited during BYU's 2020 season when they play trash opponents do the covid and he put up good numbers.

Mac Jones also had a horrible offensive line blocking for him in 2022 and 2023. That line, the carousel at OC and the lack of weapons did him no favors in New England.

Mac’s issues were because of New England, I would say he is a Kirk Cousin type where is wasn’t flashy but he is good. Most of his issue came from really bad coaching.

Zach Wilson should have stayed at school because I knew he's gonna to be mega bust on any teams. His biggest weakness was play vs. high level competition ,but Jets were dumb enough to fall into love with him despite he had great season but played against inferior opponents and didn't play against major teams. I agree that Mac Jones could be better if he's actually played for team that provides him good support cast. for some reasons, he chose to sign with Jaguars despite he knows he will never be starter for Jax unless Trevor somehow ends up struggled. Isaiah Simmons is kinda hard to read ,but I think he will flourish under Tampa 2 defense that suits his skillsets. Unfortunately, he probably will be on way out of NFL soon. He might get better if he plays for team that employs 4-3 defense such as Saints, Chiefs, etc. Sam Darnold would have great on another team because GM Douglas was dumb for not build around him. Now, he's better pray that Aaron GODgers will save his job this year, As for Sam, he probably will have last chance as Vikings qb before JJ McCarthy takes over. Tbh, he'd be flourish under Miami head coach McDaniel since he would have 2 speedster wr and will play behind one of better OL since he can throw deep passes very well. Jets and Panthers never provide him good OL or decent weapons to work with.

This isn't really news to fans of the game. A rookie QB is a crap-shoot from top to bottom. Firstly, the rook gets taken by the worst team in the league. This team is the worst for a reason. In addition to lousy play /players, there is usually an organizational problem. That's a slang term for 'lousy owner and coaching staff'. Then there's the expectations everybody has that this kid is gonna be the Second Coming of Joe Montana and that he'll save the team from its own mediocrity/stupidity/whatever. And most of the time the first-round QB ends up on a team with a coach that can't train a QB and no tools to work with. The kid might actually be a good journeyman player, but getting randomly stuck in a really bad situation has wrecked more careers than hitting the club.
