This is the best teacher routine video I have ever seen. It is so thorough and clear. I am also a huge Office fan, so the clips are a nice little treat. I am sending it out to the rest of my third grade team now. Thanks, Michelle!

Oh my gosh... thank you Amanda! That's so sweet of you! 🥰 I know The Office clips probably get annoying for some people but I can't help myself LOL. They relate to EVERYTHING! Thanks so much for sharing! 🖤
@salamarinita2 жыл бұрын
@@PocketfulofPrimary I don't even watch The Office but I enjoy the clips because they DO relate. Very funny! By the way, where were you 35-40 years ago? (not born I know) No one ever went through routines in a comprehensive way that you do. My colleagues were the most helpful. My credential program was pretty useless. No one talked about paper management or even classroom management. I had to learn all of that on the job! In the future you should consider teaching in a credential program so you can infuse the practical with the theoretical!

Hi! I've been homeschooling my 4 kids for 7 years and my biggest challenge continues to be staying on top of all the individual tasks that surround me. This is the most practical organizing video I've seen that can be easily applied to those of us in the homeschooling world as well :) I love that you included the "off the clock" routines that make things easier during the day. Thanks for sharing!

This is the first video I have seen of you and I think you have a lot of good suggestions for young single teachers. Do you know of any older teachers who are wife, mother, soccer mom, caretaker for elderly parents, etc. I seem to find myself with a plethora of other areas that nee attention and now my routines of teaching have gone by the wayside and I am in survival mode 24/7/365.

Thanks again, Michelle! I believe I can get whipped into shape using these to stay on top of teacher life. But as you know, the enemy is not what you know but what you don't. That is, what the Districts hand down to the schools who let us know, always with a short turnaround time. Then they add in new stuff that can change a routine. I love this, though, much better than what I had...not much! Will let you know how it goes.

Can you do a video of a teacher's dress code? I'm in school to be a teacher and would like to know what teachers have to wear in school.
@TheGamePlanEduSolutions3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cherry! 👋 saw your question and thought I could help! Your Teacher dress code will vary from school to school. Overall its black slacks, and clothing that isn't too short, see through, shows bra straps. Depending on where you teach they may not allow tattoos to be visible, jeans, leggings, sandals(particularly flip flop style), sleeveless blouses or shirts or certain logos. Sometimes they may have a thing (i think it was just my principal) against large jewelry and make up thats too bright. Hope that helps! 😉

Omg, yes, so relateable for me too😅. Like Michelle says, I was exhausting myself making all these decisions, but I realized when you make the list of what you typically need to do in a school day AND use a timer to help yourself stay on track and also connect it to something you enjoy (playing certain music), it helps you associate sticking with your routine to something enjoyable!
@PocketfulofPrimary3 жыл бұрын
This is completely relatable! It's going to take time and experience to know what works best for you. I would suggest creating a routine, trying it for a month, and then reflecting at the end of the month to see what's working and what needs to change. Honestly, your routines will almost always have to adapt as your seasons in life change. Best of luck to you! 🖤🥰
