Күн бұрынบนโลกของเรานั้นมีส่วนประกอบของน้ำมากถึง 70% ดังนั้นจึงมีสิ่งมีชีวิตที่หลากหลายสายพันธุ์อาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก อีกทั้งมนุษยชาติได้ทำการสำรวจทะเลได้เพียงแค่ 5-7% เท่านั้นเอง
นั่นหมายความว่ายังมีสิ่งมีชีวิตอีกประมาณ 95 % ที่มุนษย์ยังไม่รู้จัก ยิ่งลึกลงไปมากเท่าไหร่ก็ยิ่งมีความพิศวงมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ
