I don't like disrespecting the past but those construction workers reacted to that bear stupidly and cost themselves their own lives. They should have taken the dog and left as soon as they saw the bear cub but instead they decided to stick around and enjoy the show. I do not think that she should have been charged with anything. It was an accident. The woman with the bike should not have been in the road and as I recall, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which is why she wasn't paying a lick of attention to the car that was coming at her. The victim is more responsible than the person in the driver seat. She certainly should have lost her job, which I am sure she did. I imagine the family of the woman killed saw $$$$ and sued Uber as well.

There was a police officer in China that didn't get charged with murdering a woman. In no way is it an act of fear. The dog wasn't going protect mode. The bear with her cubs was going protect mode. The dog was the instigator. That bear, had the dog not been acting in a manner she took as threatening to her and her cubs, would have likely turned back around or at least ignored the presence of the humans.

The first started speeding up and the second one was going 90mph on a street that is very narrow and busy. She had a green light and the cop never had the sirens on. Sure he had his lights, but the building that was on the side for Erica was a Mexican restaurant and it's REALLY really hard to even see the sides. So she couldn't see the cop and he slammed into her. He should have had the sirens on especially since it was an intersection. He's at fault so how he got set free is beyond me

Actually, a sign that a really depressed person has decided to kill themselves (in other words; have plans of when and where, not just thinking about wanting to die in general) is often that they seem happier. However, I don't think this is what killed those girls (it would be interesting to know what was in their bags, if it was stuff that could be related to suicide, like an iPod with 'sad' music or something). In my town, we have this really tall building and when I was a kid it was kind of a thing to take the elevator to the top, to see the view and because it was cool (or something). Maybe that's what they did, or maybe they sat down (as you said) to take a selfie. Whatever the reason was, it's a really sad story.

Living in Indiana I'm still hearing about the South Bend officer. He messed up big time, should have been using his overhead lights, wasn't and killed a woman. I believe he was going about 90 mph. That the officer killed that poor woman and wasn't charged with ANYTHING infuriates me. He should have had his lights and siren on. Officers are given leeway to do things so that they can perform their jobs better that ordinary citizens aren't allowed to do, and it is expected and required that they take caution and follow safety protocols when doing these things because these things can be dangerous to other people. This includes speeding, running red lights, etc. He didn't. And his carelessness or maybe even forgetfulness cost some one their life. If any ordinary citizen was speeding around that fast - even if it was an emergency - and killed some one from doing so, they would be charged with involuntary manslaughter. He should have been, too.

About 3 years ago me and my mother were driving in a pretty big city but she was so exhausted and fell asleep while I was on my phone. I saw cars driving towards us and I grabbed the steering wheel and got us the right side of the road she then woke and was scared and thankful that I was there next to her in the passengers seat. But in the same year I was at school and the same thing happened and she ended up crashing into a ditch. She had her leg amputated but she is ok and is still healthy and moving.

I have to disagree. I never use my phone and drive. Personally I think whoever does doesn’t think about the damage they can cause to themselves, their friends and family and other people who become victims on the road.
