We do that so it goes on tight but it also does reduce it a bit. Only itches for a day instead of two.

How do you find the clear cup on the tig Al? Get to see abit more on awkward angles? I've always used a larger diameter #12 ceramic for better gas coverage but makes it hard to see 😅

I have seen some on flea-bay and I think amazon have them as well. They are Pyrex glass and my mate said any good welding shops should have them in stock. And he reckons the big cups are awesome if you need more sickout to get in crazy tight places, just don't forget to turn your gas up!

@@someyoungguy6990 I've been welding and fabricating for over 12 years now, never used one! Not alot of people down my way use the Pyrex cups just larger and run more gas, it gets expensive when purge welding though so keen to go smallest possible Pyrex, got a set on order up to #12 still just incase 😅 I try and do atleast 50% of a single weld in one pass if not 100% when able to so I get into some pretty tricky positions, keen to see how these go!

@@dank_productions94 yeah the gas flow part sucks but if you can spot the chance to use one before you cost out the job at least you can work that into the price. I try to stick to the smaller cups if I can and just bust out the big guns when I need to. It's kind of like having a secret weapon under the bench, when other guys don't want to do the job cause it's "hard" you can just say hold my beer and watch this! I find sometimes the bigger cups work well when walking your welds, as in the cup is a perfect dia to roll from fillet to fillet and still work well with normal gas flow and average to short stick out. Once you get a set and have a play you will understand!!

Nice work guys, as usual. 6:31 That lump hanging down in the floor near the seatbelt is easily 'massaged' to pop up the other way on the 910 Bluebird shells for exhaust clearance. That was how we tucked the 3" up nice and close to the floor on our SSS TURBO rally car. It make a straight pipe from the engine dump to the bend for the diff 👍

VQs sound shit 90% of the time. But with the right setup the true character is revealed and they fkn SING. Unlike a GM V6 which sounds like a bus no matter what you do to it. Listen to some clips with the Motordyne TDX VQ exhaust. VQ exhaust sounds are divas, everything’s gotta be arranged just right before they’ll step on stage and put on a show.

3.5" tip would struggle to even fit there after you pie cut it from muffler to the wheel arch area, It's a weird arrangement made for a 1.75" pipe out of a vehicle specific muffler.
