Why I like Outback is because I was in the Marine Corps(In Afghanistan, Marjah) on November 14 2010 and I was shot in the left shoulder. After I was out of hospital Outback was going around military bases with food. This was the first meal I had out of hospital and after four and a half months of MREs. In the wounded warrior BN we, about 19 of us, were first in line. Best food I can remember.

Not anywhere on my radar for "favorite steak house" the ONLY thing that kept them for a while was the blooming onion, their cuts of beef are sub par. Texas Roadhouse for the win for national steak houses.

If you found out how dirty their kitchen was, they would be even lower on your radar as far as steakhouses. My brother tried to get a job there, but decided to turn it down after he saw how disgusting the kitchen was. I definitely like the blooming onion though.

My wife and I ordered pick-up food from Outback last year for our anniversary since we hadn't eaten their food for at least 15 years. The bloomin' onion was so burnt it was inedible. The entrees we had were terrible. My wife's dessert was unrecognizable. Maybe if we try them again on an anniversary at least 15 years from now we'll have forgotten how terrible it was this time.

The Outback near me only has a bartender and one server. Never really crowded. The food is average at best. Nobody goes there for great food but it is reasonably priced. Carrabbas sucks. Rather go to Olive Garden.

The bloomin onions are just every day onions that are cut. Some times they are smaller, and Some are bigger. Just depends. The cook can't help the size.
