I used a Milwaukee multi tool with a drywall 180degree blade. Works extremely well.

Thanks @pongo1, I appreciate it! I really never changed anything on this concept. Although with any time there's a separation, I always apply a landscape fabric! I do admit though, I am evolving to Bootstrap Farmer 25 gallon fabric pots, they're nothing short of amazing to grow in!

If you use a woodburner to make your holes, you'll never crack the plastic and have a very clean edge with no mess.

Using a dremel-like tool (cheap at harbor frieght) helps finish-up the shapes/edges in the plastic. Slowly using it along the inside edges makes a fantastic clean hole/shape. That plastic can easily crack with bits and blades.

If you grind the cutting edge of the bit, it will scrape the plastic and not chip or grab.

Smaller than needed hole for the basket so the basket just sets down in the hole and not fall through??

How much of an air gap did you put between the drain hole and the soil? It looked very close.

The drain holes (one on each end) are just below the divider's height, so there is roughly 1/2" gap
