For free! I used to work in a bookshop and used to love finding little treasures and would be so nice to be actually given a book and not have to wait until a damaged one came in on the 50p bargin staff return shelf for the Christmas slush fund! Sure she will smile all day and that will be good for business 😇

Ps if it turned out to be wildly rare and expensive she could buy you all a holiday

For free! That book couldn't have a better home.

Shaun has already inadvertently revealed the price: he said it was "price-less" (he may have been unaware of the hyphen, but if you slow the recording down you can catch a faint trace of it). Other things that are price-less, or lacking any price, include the air we breathe and the unsolicited opinions of bookshop customers - free, gratis and for nothing.

I don’t think it should be given for free. I do think she should be charged 1 fine Scottish Pound for it, the charge should be rung and recorded, and a cash receipt written up and handed over. Oh, and one final thing, Shaun, loan Nicky a shiny pound coin, won’t you?

I think you are going to give it to her for free. The book will never forgive you if you don't!

£12 seems fair. I'd pay that just to have it on my shelves.

How about £14 then she can update my Sean Bythell collection by purchasing a (signed) copy of ‘Remainders of the Day’ for me. 😊
