Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia, and is divided into two main parts: Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, which is situated on the island of Borneo. It is home to the people of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous backgrounds. With a land area of 330,800 km2, Malaysia has a population of over 33 million people. Singapore was part of Malaysia, but separated in 1965 due to economic and governance matters.
Malaysia and its people has unique laws and customs that many do not know about.
