Prototype's BIG mistake was retconning 1's ending and presenting Alex as 2's villain.🤦‍♂ Not a lot of us were happy to pick up Prototype 2 and find out we were now fighting against Alex. Heller also wasn't as likable as Mercer. Uhhhh... there were just so many problems with 2 that there was no way the I.P. was gonna survive🤷‍♂

Considering gravity rush launched on the vita and the sequel being pushed to ps4, I thought we were lucky to get a sequel at all. At least they answered all the remaining question from the first game.

The Mercenaries franchise is very underrated and a ton of fun back in the day. EA should revive this.

Dark Cloud and its sequel have demonstrated remarkable potential for a new installment in the series. These games ingeniously combined combat elements reminiscent of Ocarina of Time, randomized dungeons akin to Diablo, and town-building mechanics comparable to SimCity. In my opinion, the second game exhibited significant improvements, effectively addressing various shortcomings of its predecessor.

Shouldn’t have left the Vita, the way the first game played on the handheld made sense and was unique. Moving it to a traditional console made it less unique.

@@whitewolf3051 Unlikely considering most of the projects announced when PlayStation Productions was founded have released so far, with some even having confirmed sequel follow ups Considering Uncharted was a $400 million hit, with Gran Turismo a $120 million hit not to mention the succeas found in The Last Of Us as well as Twisted Metal makes me doubt it will be cancelled

Gravity Rush was soooo good, it's just a shame that not enough people owned a Vita to make it successful. The fact that Gravity Rush 2 even got made was a miracle, but it just started off way too slow for me and despite adoring the first game, it never really pulled me in .

I think it's a crime that Capcom didn't try to do anything further with Dino Crisis on modern platforms. I mean I love Resident Evil but I think Dino Crisis had just as much potential to be as successful as Resident Evil. I hope Capcom bring back Dino Crisis. I also hope Sony bring back Gravity Rush as that's a masterpiece of a franchise

4 and 1. Hey, Capcom, LOOK AT ME! Bring back MANY of your older franchises (Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Viewtiful Joe, etc), you will make more money than a year of ANY live-service game revenue. 2. I really want Rare to make a 3rd Viva Piñata game. There are still other concepts and animal types for piñatas that they haven't done yet. This is technically Microsoft's Animal Crossing!

Prototype 2 took the very interesting premise from the first game, tossed it in the trash, reused the same map from the first game, adding some more areas and substituted the interesting protagonist of the first game with a generic black character swearing all the time. And it nuked the franchise. Congrats to all involved with it.

Nintendo should've never stopped publishing F-Zero games, especially when the series peaked with GX on the GameCube and we never got it's proper sequel or follow-up.

Notice how most of these are Sony franchises? Yeah, Sony's known for killing off franchises unfortunately. Damn shame about Infamous and Knack; I enjoyed them quite a bit. Gravity Rush had a proper ending and both games were great, so i'm not too sad about that.. But Sony needs to start making smaller games again. Not everyone wants to spend 100 hours on yet another generic open world game or ANOTHER Superhero game..

I remember Capcom's Onimusha games because I have Onimusha 3 on PC as a physical copy what I got for free from recycling, but can't play that because I don't have an External Drive Disc on my PC, but should I buy it if I want to play a physical PC games on my PC? I've been interested of Prototype Superhero games too, are those games good? I believe they are, but sadly they're in this video's list about of 10 Short lived Video Game Franchises. Fighting Vipers Series (1995-1998) This Sega Brawler lives In the shadow of Virtua Fighter (1993-2007) but I prefer It over the former Bahn and Candy are my favorite characters In the game also Fighters Megamix (1996) best crossover I've ever seen In years wish It was on modern Hardware

Gravity Rush was my 2nd Favorite PS Vita game, Freedom Wars was my favorite but I sold system as soon as game was deactivated (online only plight). Little deviants God of War and Uncharted round out the greatest hits on the oddest system no one seemed to like in US.
