@@larsheuker It is not a triplet! A triplet is three notes of the same length played in a duration where two notes would usually played. Gallop is not a triplet rhythm, the notes of different duration: an 8th followed by two 16ths or vice versa.

what giftless said, not the same.justbas 5/4and quintuplets is also nit the same. however when changing fourths ir eights with respective triplets you can indeed change rhythm a bit, but it is not that galloping pattern.

Yes, you added them on top, but had the solid foundation to layer them on. I do that a lot in our 3-piece band, first because there's lots of space; second, it helps fill in the excess space. And third, it's just one hell of a lot of fun that way!!!

Paul played bass because nobody else wanted to, Dee Dee was really more of a rapper than a bassist (if you know, you know), Krist nearly killed himself with his own bass once, so I don't really see him as somebody to learn from as far as bass goes.

For the record, the only guitar I own is a bass, but I _am_ saving up for a four-string tremolo for it. Also for the record, the only two amps I currently have access to are my Mustang Micro practice amp and my sister’s amp which she got for her Stratocaster.

I’m a guitarist that plays bass now and I know my parts. I usually don’t move that much. I mostly play with my two figures (pick if the song calls for it). I use a Bass Amp & Bass Pedals. I play musical parts to highlight the guitarist, which includes cords during their solo if needed. I only play solos if the song calls for it, but I don’t like being highlighted like that. 🫣😅😂

The only way I can spot an imposter on bass is the angle of their fretting hand. Bass players hold it parallel to the fretboard while guitarist usually hold it in a 30ish degree angle to the fretboard.

An actual good tell that someone pointed out to me a while ago is that guitarists who also play bass will often use their third finger to fret two-fret gaps as they're more used to doing that on guitar, whilst predominant bass players will often use their pinky instead.
