Found your videos while researching Deloitte. I had someone representing Deloitte reach out to me for a Cyber Security consulting job. The company seems decent, and they are offering a good sign on bonus. I'd be interested in hearing some pros and cons of the company as I don't do consulting now but I am extremely customer facing and involved in pre-sales processes so this would not be too much of a new territory for me. Culture is everything to me, if I don't interact with anyone else in the company while I am consulting I'd like to hear about it from someone in the company. Anyone in the comments that reads this that consults for Deloitte give me some pros and cons.

Hi Kristina, I am reaching out because I am curious about your experience in switching careers and I would love the opportunity to speak with you. I've been working in the same industry and although I am very happy at my current job, I am exploring the possibility of switching to something different in the future. In the process of figuring it out, I interview people who went through career transitions and I found you on KZbin and saw that you went from PR to Consulting. I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience and how you did it with me. My sister and I own a blog together and part of what we do is we interview people who have successfully switched careers and learn how they did it, in hopes to spread the message to more people so they can achieve the same thing for themselves. We would love to interview you and learn more about your journey. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello how are you, I'm a professional looking to break in to consulting. I have tried jobs and today in this economy it seems to be more options in challenging careers. So I like your video. I should be to be the top introductory to consulting. I like to information that you are sharing. And having most of those qualities and more. I believe consulting would be great work where I can use all of my talents, skills and educations. Thank you for your time. My name is Mix . And I recently have been moving place to place on a limited budget. I don't have my own place. And desperately am in need of redirection. What is required to take on this role. Like credentials, experience in consulting. Or just basic knowledge on business marketing and other skills needed to support my clients and making then feel confident in making successful decisions. Breaking down the make, the design and how the exchange will work. I have only watch your video once. But I want to find out if I am a natural at consulting.

First of all, truly appreciated for the video, you did a great job. But not meant to bring negative energy here lol I have all of em PLUS a top-30 mba degree, still didn’t get hired for even a consulting internship. Been trying to get involved in related communities and networking events but nothing. I know my undergrad grades was trash (3.1/4 at Michigan Ann Arbor) but my mba gpa (concentration in strategic management) is perfect so far (4 out of 4) and will complete quite soon. Will be a jobless loser on $80k student loan debt this summer. 😂 Not gonna apply for govt benefit but will make sure to stay unemployed until I get a job that I like the most, for example, strategic consulting. BTW I’m an Asian male with a not-so-technical undergrad degree, which is gonna hold me back even more. Possibly to return to my home country cuz my parents got big name govt officials as connections who can hook me up with hr people at MBB. It’s harsh reality but people in the US really don’t care about people like myself, so gonna take my talent elsewhere and be a millionaire faster than all of em POSs.

Hi Kchoi! Thanks for the video, it gives me a lot of insights. I wanna ask you something, i’m currently pursuing CFA certification. In your opinion is it helpfull for consulting job? Or may be is it more considerable for consulting firm to hire CFA charter holder? Thanks a lot.
@stephandden
@stephandden 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Henry! If you're applying to a group that will be consistently applying the technical knowledge learned from doing the CFA curriculum, then it will be helpful. With that being said it can still be valuable from a more general sense as certain clients will favor consultants that hold the charter or have their CPA as an example (sometimes based on bias or technical ability). I work at a Big 4 firm and just shared a video on what consultants do at a Big 4 firm ✨
