A coyote would’ve definitely been in it by now if it’s still had it because I was looking for a terminator engine at the time before the coyote blessed the world with its presence lol I also had the 17x9 black chrome cobra R wheels around which I always picture looking great with that color. You could get those power numbers easily with a 351w based stroker, and it would be streetable with more torque. But you are correct. If you was just running a 302 you would have a crazy built solid lifter roller cam with terrible street manners. It would most likely be a pig at lower rpms. Power wouldn’t turn on till 4000 or 5000 plus rpms. That’s why most people back then always went the boosted route with the little pushrod 302s to get any serious power.

@@TheCoyoteShop I heard HP tuners has it all pretty much unlocked but they are working on a perfect tune that helps lock it up quicker for the 60ft that the gt500 lacks in and do it in a way it’s still reliable and crisp!! But once these tuners get ahold of it like ken . The sky is the limit depending on what you do with your car. The DCT is the only thing holding them back at the dragstrip. Some clutches and a tune it’s gonna hit 8s soon. The DCT is great for road course and that’s what it’s tuned for. But for those drag guys this is what we need and it’s awesome to hear!! Now I’m still curious if they will ever crack any tuning for the c8. GM says nobody will ever be able to tune them. If it does stay that way . The corvette is dead in my eyes. The corvette is like a mustang they were the cars we grew up building in our driveway. Take away tuning and the fact they are only capable of 600hp the vette is no longer a vette. They should’ve live called the c8 something else and left the front engine vette. Now with the camaro going away and the hellcat being pointless. The mustangs are definitely the king of the car world for the average car enthusiasts. Unless you have 200-400k for cars that would never run the times that the coyote/Predator/voodoo platform is capable of. Super curious to see what stangmode ends up running with a built motor gt500 now. I said once everything is done and the only thing that will hold him back is the DCT. But now who knows what he can do.
@TheCoyoteShop3 жыл бұрын
@@carculturenation2166 exactly what I have said the vette should have just end production and call it the GM Fiero 2.0 if it’s stuck at 600 hp and put a mod motor similar to the coyote in the Camaro for the ford vs gm life that we all know. But is what it is. Now regards the DCT my 500 current best of consistent 9.6 and only PBD e-85 tunes injectors 18 rear wheels and tire Whipple inner cooler spe 2.4 pulley cat delete to me is amazing considering there’s so much left on the table for me. DCT tuning would make my car a very low 9sec ride any and all updates would be appreciated thanks
@carculturenation21663 жыл бұрын
@@TheCoyoteShop so what did your combo cost with tuning if you don’t mind me asking. I’m always saying how cheap it is to go fast with a gt500. So I’m also curious what Kens combo costs because when he races the 765lt that runs 9.3 with just a tire. I wanna know what it costs to do his vs a $340k Mclaren 765LT . Your time is amazing. You have to think that’s DOdge demon times. A drag focused production car. They claimed 9.6. But it wasn’t until recently that someone finally got a 9.6 out of a stock one. So for you to hit those times has me curious of the cost. Another thing I watch these guys with demons putting $100k into them for carbon fiber built motor etc and they are only getting a second off there times running my 8.6. And that’s after market turbo 400s so really at that point it’s basically replacing everything and that’s crazy to only be running those times. When a gt500 or GT is knocking a second off for the gt500 with ease and a GT well those are 5 seconds off there factory times with suspension and a blower. Plus you can still go to a road course if you want which you are never doing with a dodge.

@@Mac9393 ok cool. I run a swap group too that’s for coyote swaps but not only mustangs that if you ever get time check it out and share it, I’m sure everyone would love it. “Coyote swap the world! All brands/Models Coyote swap builds & Tech support” almost 13k members so I’m sure you could share a lot of info about the gen 3 complete swap. I’d like to hear some more about the setup you had in it prior. Did Ken say an independent suspension from a Colbalt? lol

That is so bad ass. I’d rather have that than my 900hp 19 GT.
