Try wearing the heel from Cole Hahn. The Ambition Pump. It is made in collaboration with Nike. Or a block heel is usually much more comfortable. I'm 64 and confidence is the key. I think as long as we follow these rules and pay attention to balance, neutrals, no large prints, and NO APOLOGIZING for our age...we are good. And not too much skin. Then slap a smile on your face and enjoy your life.

Heather, I lived most of my life in the northeast so my style was conservative with the solids and neutrals (Brooks Brothers). When we retired to Florida 10 years ago, I got into the whole Floridian style of colors, prints, etc. Thank you for putting me back on track. I always loved my neutrals and solids which I felt so comfortable wearing and was me. As I've noted previously, I am a mature woman and do need to modify outfits accordingly: but, there is nothing like "classic". Blessings. Diane

I too lived most of my life in the Northeast (Boston) and moved down to Florida. I also got into the whole Floridian style of colors and prints. When I returned to Boston (Visiting) family, they smile and said what are you wearing. hahaha... Thank you Heather for putting me back on track like Diane. Hi Heather, The biggest style change I have done in my wardrobe based on all your tips is to purchase solid neutral colors. I agree it's much easier to create a number of outfits. I still lean toward romantic florals as I love to dress more feminine than edgy. But I will concede as I get older those florals could at times look too 'cutesy' for me. So it's a fine line there. The third layer is definitely a must. Even for my husband when he puts on the third layer it just changes the outfit completely. As always thank you for your styling tips and for providing fashion styles I can purchase. BTW, I just received the zebra cardigan from Nordstrom (you recommended in your previous video). Love Love Love it. I will be styling it with leather joggers. Thank you for that recommendation. Enjoy today! 🤗

I’m so happy that I found your channel! You are SO helpful ! I’m 39 and had been struggling to find my style but these sort of videos are so wonderful. My only struggle here is the 3rd layer, I’m in Australia and our summer is beyond hot! Normally we can reach 40 degrees (or 100 Fahrenheit) regularly so its really hard in the summer not to show too much flesh but anyway I’m so glad I found your channel ❤️❤️

I totally agree with the prints..i find myself gravitating towards solids... I love ripped jeans- just keep it simple not torn all the way down. Just lightly ripped add character ....its all about how you style it! I am 47 and love to see mature 60+ wearing them. They have confidence and totally rock them. Also I have a bright pink sweater and the color looks amazing on me!!!

I find I have to go darker-black and darker brown with my silver hair. The light brown and grey wash me out. Love the merlot colour. I have hauled out my real gold jewellry. I buy it for my daughters as investments. They are portable!

I know that most likely by next year it will be completely out, so never fear! Haha! I'm not making fun, I'm just adding a little levity. I definitely wouldn't be wearing them at 70, but like Heather taylor mentioned, I will be a young 70 if I can help it!

She normally lists a more budget friendly version. Also, stores like Walmart, H&M, Zara and others have items inspired by trends. Goodwill is always good. You could try to buy more investment pieces a couple of times a year. Do you know of any designer resale stores in your area? Most high-end department stores have outlet stores (Nordstrom, Saks). Perhaps you and your friends could have a clothes swap.

I watched one of her GRWM videos and she is so pretty with less, looks a lot younger without the harsh makeup that she chooses (I mean this as a compliment!). She’s pretty naturally, but it’s hard to see when she does her makeup. Maybe she wears a more natural look when she isn’t doing You Tube.
