Vaseline is a petroleum product and doesn't play well with latex condoms. It will only be a matter of minutes before the condom dissolves.

Some good ideas, the pull matches etc are all pre camping or survival preperations that should be made prior to survival situations. The torch and plastic bag with water as a magnifying glass is a must try...

Use ash or rust instead of wasting coffee and use a cotton ball instead of a filter. You'll have the original Rudiger Roll

Pretty cool stuff here. I have never seen a coffee joint fire starter, ill admit, at one point I thought he was gonna snort his coffee, then I realized he was prepping it to be smoked. Is it me or does this guy carry an excessive amount of Vaseline on his camping trips? He seems to be alone, but who knows.... and let's be real, how many of us keep the childproof safety bar on our lighters? I know that's the 1st thing to go when I buy one. That pull start flare was cool, but like the other person here said, making that will raise some concerns with anyone you may be with and after seeing him unroll that rubber over it is probably gonna either have anyone your with leave immidiately, or they possibly may start haveing some impure thoughts about your intentions with it.

Fun stuff. Pull tab fire starter on a sub zero temp day would allow a fire without removing gloves or manually manipulating matches or a lighter with frozen fingers. Been there before. Couldn't hold/strike matches, big butane wouldn't light due to cold, had to warm it up. Not fun.

Did you dig fox hole to get your water or bring it? You should be able to start your fire with rocks. You will run out of the fluid. A "c"
@LastBushSurvival3 ай бұрын
I take my water from streams and boil it, you should always carry different fire making methods, a ferro rod and a lighter are best

Isn't it a little on the expensive side to use those nice long reach matches instead of some regular kitchen matches 🤔????
@LastBushSurvival3 ай бұрын
Not really, those are really cheap too 👍
@brine803 ай бұрын
The point of using the long matches is because there is more wood to burn as fuel. If you used shorter matches, this would burn for a much shorter period of time.

Very cool tricks to show it can be done, but most are pretty pointless in a survival situation. For example, why carry a huge tub of vaseline, a roll of kitchen towels, huge matches and a comdom incase you need to improvise a single use torch? Why not just carry a torch on your key chain? the plastic bottle stil and using vapes/old lighters are handy same with the water bag trick but it's unlikely you would use the light from your torch over one of the torch batteries for lighting the fire.

Congratulations on seeing these before, a lot of us (including myself) have not seen some of these so this video was pretty helpful and entertaining. Seeing different ways to do things could come in handy one day should any of us find ourselves in a situation where we can use some of these ideas. Almost everything on KZbin has been done before, the point of posting videos is not always to be the 1st, but to get your message, or idea out into the world. Nowhere in his title did it say "1st time, New survival tips and tricks."
