So, this is probably the woman in me.. but I don’t think he’s unhinged. I think he’s grieving. He is not happy here. I can see that through his seemingly cheerful demeanor. He misses his mom. His wording & some of things he says just kinda tell me that he’s actually not doing that great. I mean, he’s holdin up just fine, obviously but still. My heart goes out to him. Just think about how u act when someone is like that to you. It's natural to be drawn to it. When someone is a good person and you can just feel that about them, that too is also attractive. Etc etc.

I started listening to and reading Alan Watts when I was 14. His words and messages flow so freely through me to this day. He can capture a very specific feeling and explain it so vividly. I’ve had some of the most beautiful and empowering epiphanies when devouring his work. Completely remarkable and otherworldly. It’s incredible how he makes you feel like a small speck in time; yet so powerful to exist in it all simultaneously. Truly magnificent! Bravo Andrew.

@@dearjoan I think AG would really enjoy Denton Welch and W. G. Sebald's books. Welch was focused on the tiniest details and could make a world out of practically nothing. In one book the most dramatic incident involves the main character going to someone's house for tea. Sebald's work is harder to describe, but the theme of memory plays a huge part.
