Thank you for wanting to fight the stigma against therapy! When I was in college, I was VP of Active Minds, which tries to fight stigma against mental illness. If you're not a member or someone who attends events, you have NO idea how many people struggle, especially for those who believe in the stigma. Several of my friends, whether they have mental problems or just stress, say therapy has a positive correlation with their grades, self-esteem, relationships, and confidence! I'm glad you don't believe in the stigma. It's just something I'm passionate about.

I do time blocking often, and it does prove to be extremely effective, but at the same time I plan everything to the last second, so especially during finals week I found myself getting overwhelmed. So make sure you don’t schedule too much on yourself in one day- because through time blocking you probably will! Get! It! All! Done! but it can be at the expense of your mental health~ good luck and praying for you all!

The stigma surrounding therapy is so insane to me, im from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and there's not a single person i know, that has never been to therapy, its the most common thing! Because its not only used as a worse case scenario type of resource. People just go to gain perspective on their current life, maybe minor problems, but its mostly to be aware of how they are feeling as life unfolds, guided by a professional who helps you. Im so glad that you brought that up to bring awareness and to lead as an example of what being healthy on the inside is! Love your videos

Hiya--- I really appreciated your video and enjoyed it! I do wanna say though--- what you mentioned with Harvard students comparing their google calendars to compete on who is busier is not very healthy, and promotes burnout. Yesterday I graduated from a boarding school for high gifted students, where there is high pressure to perform, but you also had the chance to meet great people and to grow personally and academically. Your tips are really important and right. Get things done. Seize the opportunities. but most important: have fun. And I want to thank you for your words on the subject of psychologists: Talking to someone who can help you does not mean you are "sick" or loser. A good conversation can help you on so many levels. I would like to study psychology myself and therefore I find it so great that you invalidate the stereotypes against therapies. Lots of Greetings from Germany!

I'm on the most uncivilized schedule in college. I sleep in shifts, go to bed around 10 p.m. get up a few hours later to do all my work, I find I'm most focused during twilight and dawn. Try to make most of my classes in the morning and sleep all afternoon. Weird, but it works for me.
@holiday1973 жыл бұрын
When I went to University, I literally wrote up and created a timetable where I allocated specific time slots for specific assignments and homework per week. I did this immediately after I received the assessment schedules for every subject. I broke it down hour by hour, day by day and week by week and really strategised what plan would work best for me to prioritising workloads and getting assignments and tasks done by the due date. Prioritise to start working on the assignments early in each semester where you know the most work and effort will be needed (and/or based on the due date for assignments) so that you know that you are more on top of things by midway to late in the semester and you’re stressing less (or barely any) later in the semester. Also see if you could schedule a massive time gap between classes once per week (if you do not live on campus) so that you have a designated large time block where you can really use it to focus on some of the big assessments (or do work on several smaller assessments of homework).

OH! And if you can, go to Suwon and check out 화성행궁. My wife is Korean but had never seen 화성행궁 before I showed it to her. She was so surprised that such a site existed in Korea. It's truly something else! You can take a Korail train from Yongsan, take the subway (I don't recommend the subway to Suwon -too packed and takes too long imo), or take a bus from 사당역, 강남역, or 잠실역. After taking some time watching your show: In my mind, you got pretty cool stuffs on your KZbin channel. Then, I made up my mind to subscribe your KZbin channel. Hopefully, you can share everything about Harvard here on KZbin. In order to make me as an Asian able to see the circumstances of Harvard, how cool study at Harvard is, etc. Keep up your awesome work! Much love from Indonesia, baby Sienna ❤️ ☺️😊

May you please do a more in depth video over time management and studying please because I also struggle learning this that I often spend hours on an assignment and get little spleen during the school year! Thanks!

hey im the same grade but im just wondering like on average how does your grades go? so like i got every thing at least 90% above ofc its more but except for math because no matter what i do its less... anyways as a 9th grader i felt my grades will lead me not having a good chance at being accepted at harvard that was so long anyways im rooting for you bb;)
