All of the things you mentioned have been my experience as well. We live in Glasgow, which is even greener than Edinburgh. The greatest part of my experience here has been the Scots themselves: how inclusive and respectful they are with foreigners, how down-to-earth they are and how much they support underdogs: whatever oppresion is going in the world there will be a demonstration in Scotland to oppose that💙

Depends on how you measure green space but the most recent 'green mapping' puts E'burgh at 49% green space and G'gow at 32%.

So glad you loved Edinburgh and Scotland. I'm from Edinburgh and spent my first five years there. Miss it and hoping to move back to Scotland soon. Funny after living in England (which I do like) you realise how kind and friendly the Scots are and this above all is what I love about them

@nebularain3338

Why are you sure she had some, and why are you keen on them being highlighted? In my experience, most issues in Scotland are domestic, and revolve around football's unhealthy grip on the West, and problems with addiction/mental health which often get dismissed as criminal activity rather than illness. Scotland is by no means perfect, but inclusiveness is one of the great strengths of the country.
@lorddaver5729

@@nebularain3338Inclusiveness?? You must be joking! Scotland is one of the most divisive countries on the planet. I have been threatened with violence simply because I come from the "wrong" place. I come from Edinburgh. In Glasgow that is virtually a crime. Coming from England is even more of a crime. I overheard a Glasgwegian say to an English guy in a pub "Are you from England? Well, finish your pint and f..k off south of the Border". Inclusive, my arse...

Scottish welfare IS better. This is largely because it is subsidised by taxpayers from London and the SE which amounts to close to £5,000 per taxpayer per annum - which is massive.

@@johnfitzpatrick4007 1. We know that Scotland consumes more tax spend than it raises 'cos the SG tells us how much it was. £20Bn in the last tax year. 2.
