@andylabardy242 I wish people could respond to a post without getting smart. I can't even thank you. I'm commenting as someone who hasn't seen the movies in many years. @@Terelon Agree 100%, rather than thank this person I would like to kick dirt in their face (but wouldn't, just being sincere in my response). I've seen the trilogy at least 40 times starting with VHS. I didn't miss the years as they were subtitled on the screen but I never put together (or cared to compare the years to other movies), to me it added nothing to the story and was not vital to my enjoyment and understanding of these movies. Although, hearing about it now is rather fascinating. Other than being a fun fact, I'd argue that the people who notice these kinds of things tend to miss much of the creativeness of the movie in general. When I read the snarky comment above I actually feel sorry for this person. Someone was harsh to this person as a child and are a clear example of "misery loves company". The Indiana Jones and Bond movies were TV staples when I was growing up. When they came on you had to adjust your schedule to make sure you were home to watch them. You had to commit to watching something but then again they were worth watching. I do watch your videos and give them a thumbs up but I don't comment enough. It's been 6 years since I had my cancer and even though I was lucky with my surgery, treatments and the support I got there were some tougher moments too. I had a lot of spare time on my hands and there were 4 channels that I watched a lot that time... yours was one of them. I have said this before and I hope you've seen these messages, I don't want to put any emotional weight you or make you uncomfortable. I hope that this message finds someone who can connect with it. I'm not going to say your channel saved my life or anything because it's not like that. But it did help keep me positive on those tougher days. Funny, interesting and a lot of respect. You give us that nostalgia hit and never phone it in, you put in that effort. Thanks for the entertainment and thanks for making those times easier. The movie had one of the best feel good endings of all time. Temple of Doom is fantastic! I remember the backlash of Temple. My parents took me to see all of the Indy movies, and was definitely not scared, but was thrilled to see a new set of locations. As an Asian, I never understood the disgust that western viewers exhibited with the dinner scene. Other than the monkey brains, I had eaten all of those things. And that's just because monkey brains weren't available at the Asian grocery store. I had eaten calf brains. Snakes, bugs, and brains are just a casual lunch in places with more people than resources, like China and India. Crickets and grasshoppers can even be found in a buffet. In Korea, silkworms are sold by street vendors.

Temple of Doom is a perfectly fine and fun adventure. Flawed? Yes. Best of the Original Trilogy? No. Not in my opinion, at least. Head and shoulders above the Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny? Abso-friggin-lutely. I understand why some people aren’t too keen on it, but I also feel ToD has received so much unnecessary hate over the years. I certainly still enjoy watching and quoting from it. Temple just deserves a little more love and appreciation. My favorite-Last Crusade all day long. But the original three, as a whole, just can’t be beat. Currently playing through Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. I gotta say-it fits pretty damn well into the timeline so far. Happy Holidays to all from Minnesota.

Temple of Doom has and will always be my favorite Indiana Jones movie. The characters are hilarious and it’s a nonstop adventure. I never understood why people didn’t like it.

I remember my parents went out to see it (I was too young), and when they came home, my mom raved about how crazy it was. They rented it for me to watch the week in was released on VHS. I still can't handle the bug tunnel, and Kate Capshaw needs to be muzzled forever, but the rest of it was quite fun.

We were really poor growing up, we only had one of these movies on VHS, it was this one, it's my favorite, they could remove the love interest though, and I think it would be better

Nah, it was fun, though I maybe bias. I was 9 when I first saw Temple of Doom in the theater and developed a huge crush on Kate Capshaw.

Here's a good idea for a future Minty Comedic Arts episode: *10 THINGS - JAWS 3-D: The Versions* *You Never Seen* Facts about the film: • Originally, the filmmakers planned to have very few 3-D "pop-out" effects in the film. But studio execs pressured them to add more, fearing that the audience would be leaving the cinema disappointed and spread bad word-of -mouth about the 3-D being just used for depth. • The first 3-D cameras they intended to use were Optimax, but it was rejected after the footage they had filmed were deemed unusable as the cameras had serious misalignment issues. They next went with StereoVision 3-D cameras, which were acceptable enough to be used to film 2nd Unit shots throughout production. • The final 3-D camera they went with were ArriVision, which were capable of photographing 3-D movies in color with a single camera and a single strip of film. The technique used a split twin-lens adapter fitted in the camera which divides the 35mm frame in half along the middle. This captures the "left-eye" image on top of the "right- eye" image, a process that's known as "over/under". Unfortunately, when the film was shown on TV and released on VHS/ DVD, the film was seen with only the "left-eye" image which resulted in a poor 16mm-film quality. • *"JAWS 3-D"* also was the first film to have its visual effects shots composited electronically via video equipment, which was quicker & more flexible than the traditional process of optical printing. The vast majority of composited shots were achieved by Private Stock Effects or PSE. While the video equipment used in the film were of low resolution, resulting in the image looking soft, it was deemed acceptable at first as the FX shots were set in underwater. However at the last minute, executive producer Alan Lansburg changed his mind and he ordered for the composites to be re-done in the traditional process, and most of PSE's work were replaced by Praxis Film Works. More than 2/3 of the original video composites were cut from the film, and the rest had to be simplified so it could be easier to finish via optical printing. Unfortunately, certain scenes in the final film (like when Mama Jaws flooded the underwater tunnels) were left unfinished, resulting in blank greenscreens being visible for the audience to see. • The original cut of the film was just a minute shy of being two hours long, but 20 minutes of footage was cut from the film. Some of the film's deleted scenes & alternate takes were featured in a compliation of clips from a low-quality workprint or the 1983 documentary: *"SHARKS DON'T DIE: The Making of JAWS 3-D".* • In one of the revised scripts for the film (written by an uncredited Michael Kane), Kelly Ann Bukowski & Sean Brody were attacked by Mama Jaws while riding a underwater gondola that rose from the water resulting in Kelly's death, and later in the script, Mike Brody found himself in a underwater chase and swam from his sub to a shipwreck (a sequence that would later be used in the 4th film: *"JAWS: The Revenge").* • Calvin Bouchard originally was to die in the film, but the filmmakers liked Louis Gossett, Jr.'s performance so much, that they changed it for him to live, which is why he's swimming away to safety with an injured SeaWorld technician in hand.
