I would add 2 “never do this” items. 1. The first one, which I learned the hard way, is “never wash your wigs in hot or warm water.” Ruined the curl and stretched the cap. 2. The second, which I’ve never done, but which many wig sisters can’t seem to resist doing is “don’t cut bangs in your wig.”

Hi. Apologies for the late comment, I’ve only recently found Taz and all her awesome “friends” and I’m getting through her videos one by one. I just have a question about your advice to not cut the bangs. I’m so guilty of that! 😳 A lot of the time I’ll purposely order a wig with longer bangs so that I CAN adjust them to my liking. I have a really long forehead and require a longer bang area than most so that has been my solution. Why is it not advisable to do that? Still learning and very appreciative for the information. Thank you!
@Ty-iz9wd3 жыл бұрын
People cut bangs all the time on their wigs. If you know how to do it it should be fine.

Really a lot of thing's we all think about with are wig care. I aways worry when cooking about my wig and the steam from boiling or the oven heat. I have a wig that I only wear when cooking now. I have melted one when I first started wearing wigs. I learned the hard way. What is the benefit of silicone spray on are wigs? I don't spray anything on my wigs an only use wig product's. I have heard Amoral on the longer wigs helps cut down on the tangling. I never tried this as I am very sensitive to smells. Very bad (Allergy's) Thank you Taz for all this great information it helps us all. Happy Easter to you and your family.❤ 🐣 🐰

Thank you for this video... I did learn something new. I am waiting now for my very first wigs... I was bold and ordered two human hair and one synthetic wig. I sure hope they will work for my head that is less than 21 inches. Also... How will a little old lady look in them? I hope to have fun with thinking of them as fashion accessories instead of trying to fool people that it is my own hair. As my own hair is pure white, everyone I know will realize immediately that I am wearing wigs. In any case, I have not yet found any wigs in pure white natural looking color without roots in dark... It looks good on you Taz, but would not look good on me. I love the Estetics Sunlit color but not with the dark roots.

Hi Taz! Thank you so much for the 10 tips of what NOT to do! Question: I leave in 3 weeks for my KS home and will be there for 6 months. I don't want to take my winter wigs and will be leaving 10 wigs or more in Florida. The AC will be on at 80 and it's not humid in our house. Do I leave my wigs on the foldable wig stands that I have them on? I think you've seen them in my videos. Thanks! XOXO
@TAZSWIGCLOSET4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mar!! The collapsible wig stands should not stretch out the wigs if you leave them on the stand.. but they may get a little dusty which may require you to wash them right away when you return. I store mine in the box as they came.. has worked great for me:-) Have a blessed day:-) XOXO

Hello! The longevity of a style depends on many things.. how its cared for, the length (long styles do not last as long), how many hours/day it's being worn, etc.. most regular synthetic short styles can last 3-6 months wearing 5 days/week, 6 hrs a day with good maintenance:-) This of course is just a guess:-) XOXO

@TAZSWIGCLOSET2 жыл бұрын
Regular, non heat friendly, synthetic fibers seem to last longer. Ellen Wille regular synthetic usually holds up as well as other non heat friendly brands. The enemies of a synthetic wig are FRICTION and wear and tear.. You might try a silicon product like kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHKYXmeLot2ikM0. Wear it off the neck or anywhere the fibers drag the clothing as well. XOXO

When I take it off the inside looks “yucky” even if I take a wash cloth with cold water and gently wipe the inside it seems as though the fibers on the outside tend to get stiff. So, consequently, I end up soaking them in Balsam or washing them,. Any suggestions? Have a Happy Easter💕
