In Days Gone, it was always fun to lure freakers or hordes into ambush camps and letting them deal with the horde 😂 you can even bring some hordes back to one of your allied camps and let them deal with it. Any game where the game has enemy in-fighting is always entertaining to sit back and let them do the dirty work.

Just Cause 3 is one of my favorite open world games. Two of my favorite things to do was #1. Go to the tallest mountain and have a barely in control Tank race downhill to the beach. Just don't shoot at bridges that you have to drive under. #2. I also liked to go to the tallest building in the game and spawn a battleship to land on the roof, perfectly centered and balanced, and then use cables to keep it from falling off.

Didn’t play JC3, but I instantly fell in love with JC4. Had no idea how much the environment was destructible and finding out by accident was amazing. Not to mention all of the insane weapons and vehicles you get with the Ultimate edition, like the hoverboard and the jetpack!? I hope they make a sequel.

I appreciate someone talking about the urge to drive into pedestrians in a video game in a way that doesn't make you feel bad. I always pretend like that's not something I do, but you know, everyone does it, but most people, like myself, don't want to admit it because it might make you sound like a maniac. We're not people with terrible violent tendencies, it's just a way to explore doing something that you will never do in real life.

Surprised that Outer Worlds didn't get a mention in the stealing from npcs section. As long you're not seen as well as door is closed, you can steal without any consequences. Then there are JRPGs like Dragon Quest, (early) Final Fantasy, and few other series, as well games like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. You can just about enter anywhere, go through everything, and take anything, *without* the actions considered a crime.

I think one of the fun bugs in a game I've ever had fun with was the Weapon Pad bug in Halo 5: Guardians. Initially, you could use the weapon pads in Halo 5's forge mode to set what weapons would spawn where when forging maps. But, players found a bug that would allow you to merge the effects of one weapon with another with rather silly to down right badass results. Like a shotgun that fired hydra mini-rockets or turrets that fired fuel rod cannon rounds. Players were having soo much fun coming up with all sorts of crazy weapon combinations as well as crazy game modes based around them that 343 never ended up removing the bug and left it in for players to continue to enjoy. Another thing I love to do in open world games sometimes is just see how long I could follow the rules/laws of a game world or be like an NPC. Like in GTA, just driving around casually and following the rules, stopping at stop lights and all that. Or like in RDR2, I would just spend hours just hunting, fishing or like horse breaking...not really doing any of the missions or whatnot. I'd just stock up on supplies and set off into the mountains or forests and set up camp while hunting or fishing. Or find some wild horses and break one in and raise its stats up. Then after a few days, I'd return to town and sell off my haul to see how much money I could make.

I wish more devs would just leave fun bugs alone like that. I hate it when a dev wrecks their game by obsessively trying to balance everything and just ends up making everything less fun.

In regards to a wanted system & seeing how long I can survive for, it's easily Jak II. And depending on the circumstances, like the place in the story you try it, whether or not you use weapons & dark powers, etc. It's a whole lot of fun to do from time to time, especially since the games a whole lot of going back & forth to begin with. It's just sad it can't happen in Jak 3, but at least it makes sense within the context of that games story.

That week in GTA online when the Taxi Cab Stand had that God Mode glitch, a group of us decided to guard the cab stand so nobody could use it. We put a big pile of cars on top of the yellow interaction circle so nobody could get at it. One got shot up and started to burn, and they all started exploding. It was like popcorn popping. Guarding that Cab Stand was some of the most fun I ever had in GTAO. We had snipers on rooftops, a Kanjali tank watching the road and Chernobog for AA. There was a few people that kept coming at us with everything in the game. It was a great time, there is almost never any kind of cooperation or group tactics in GTA. There is potential for an organized war in GTA that might be better than Battlefiled, if you can get people to stick to the plan and play that way. But there is always someone that thinks ruining a good time is more fun and they sit in the orbital canon or MK2 spam.

I dunno why but in every open world game I like to shoot lightbulbs, street lights, lamps, etc. because I want to see if they break. It's like force of habit

Cheating to progress is mandatory in bugthesda games, multiple iterations of skyrim and the main quest bugging out was never fixed. Fully expect to hear the same thing happening in starfield

I'm a huge fan of testing vehicle durability. I'm always disappointed when a game (especially a racing game) has no damage modeling. That's not as common now, but the Gran Turismo series (which I genuinely enjoy) is sadly on that list.

Honestly, one of the reasons why I preferred GTA IV over GTA V. As much as people complained about the driving and crashing physics in IV, it felt more realistic. To me, everything felt like supped up tanks in V where vehicles felt more heavy and stuck to the roads and driving fast into things seemed to only do minimal damage to the vehicle. But in IV, the driving felt more real. Even if some of the normal cars, taking certain turns too fast meant you could possibly roll the vehicle over and running into enough things could leave your vehicles crumpled and mangled.

In the Norway map in Call of the Wild: The Angler, there is a vista that's a Pride Rock-like projection off a massive mountain. The only delay in me jumping off of it was to get a running start

I'm only halfway through the video, but I'm already renaming it in my head as '10 things I've never done in an open world game'...but there are still 5 more items on the list...so maybe.... okay, if we count smashing pots in Legend of Zelda games...I guess I'll admit to that one. Oh, and yeah, I've gone to the tall thing in Spider-Man and jumped off. so...yeah...I guess you got me

One very underrated game that barely anyone knows about is Swords n Magic and stuff !!Its so fun and entertaining they have cool mechanics you can use different spells and multiple cool weapons . They actively work with the community to fix either bugs or get ideas !Its co-op and has its own servers and is definitely a must try !!Right now it’s still being worked on but most definitely worth it 10/10

When GTA 3 came out I was a freshman in college. Our English professor asked us what we liked to do to relax. I told her driving over people and going on a shooting spree. Before I could say it was doing that in GTA 3 she looked absolutely horrified. 🤣 I told her I wasn't a psychopath but doing that type of stuff in a video game just felt good when you needed to blow off steam.😆🤣

In watch dogs 2, I would block the road with a bus or two and start hacking cars to crash in it, and when one explodes it triggers a chain reaction of cars blowing up, so fun to watch.

Bro i remember in GTA 4 and Rdr1 where id just fall off the roofs of short buildings without dying but just ragdolling till i hot the ground and then parkouring my way back up, but in GTA 4 and rdr1 the parkour mechanics were much deeper and allowed for more freedom and fun unlike GTA 5 or the lrevious ones where you couldnt even vault, nostalgia

The best thing I have ever seen an AI do was watchdogs 2 when I brought all kinds of vehicles and machinery out to the middle of a street and everything started blowing up which brought more fire trucks, ambulances, police, etc. An AI ran into the middle of the mess, pulled out their phone, then snapped a selfie. I was floored. I spit all over my tv. It was absolutely amazing! That should have been an achievement.

6:37 - 7:01 Well, it's not impossible (6:56). You CAN do it, you just don't want to, right 😅 So, maybe it would've been more appropriate to say, "That's not something you WANNA do in real life" 😂 Awesome top 10 as always 👌🏻
