They have left some npc lines of them recognizing Arthur in. Near Valentine I once had an npc say to me as a ride past him “ now I recognize you from the posters so keep your distance “

Interesting. Arthur seemed to be grim, had dark hair and beard in beta. Even on small pic in gamefiles seemed to be like to be. He had changes after 1st design, then 2nd design after 2nd trailer and in final has design with puppy eyes.

I heard that originally Davey's death was going to be the death of Arthurs child. So glad they changed this because it really would have set a terrible tone to start the game on, there wouldn't be a sense of hope in chapter 2 for example. But does explain why his OG design might have been more grizzled. Who knows the dev timelines on all of this tho.

Good video, back in 2018 when the game first came out , I was playing online and would have to keep stealing horses once mine ran out of energy, and one time I stole this random npc’s horse, and he ended up shooting my horse in the head while I took off with his , I’ve never seen it happen again after that day or ever since, I’m pretty sure they took that out , this game is outstanding

Frank heck would’ve had a whole part of the gunslinger mission where he would fight with either Arthur or John in the tumbleweed saloon. But as soon as they decided to cut new Austin from the main story they realized they needed to give Arthur more side missions he could finish so they cut frank heck.

It’s pretty awesome/wholesome/intriguing for the npcs to recognise and hunt u as one of the dutch van der linde gang members , it adds a subtle bit more realism and immersion to the gameplay and lore of rdr2 For those of you who are here to judge my english , idgaf. Wholesome and awesome both suggest positive meanings, as long as my idea gets across y’all that is sufficient. This isn’t an English class but a yt comment y’all ought be doing something more meaningful that judging the way sb uses adjectives and descriptives in a sentence

Anybody who wants to be seriously disappointed with the game, watch 3:10 to Yuma (the remake from 2007) they literally copied Dutch and Micah 1:1 from the movie. Yes I do realize Dutch was already in RDR1, but there he was a copy of Curly Bill from Tombstone (1993).

The Ballad of Lefty Brown is the best one I've found. They finally gave Bill Pullman another leading role, after all these years since his first movie Spaceballs.

the hat from beta looks bad but the gun belt and bandolier look great. arthur's actual belt and bandolier look too ganaric and npc-like. also the winter coat in that darker grayish color looks way better than the bright blue R* used.

One thing I actually noticed that Rockstar removed from Red Dead Redemption 2 was the bounty you can get in each state. It used to be $1500 in the first few years, but once Red Dead Online was introduced to PC, they changed it to $300 for both online and story

I see why they didn't keep John's wanted poster. A. Agent Ross already knew about John and B. He hasn't committed any crimes for 8 years before killing Cleet, Micah, Joe and the rest of Micah's gang. Ross also couldn't have known for certain it was John, Sadie and Charles who killed Micah and co
