What I like to do is to buy plain cheap (but good quality c;) t-shirts and try to recreate clothes that I see in stores like brandy melville It's really a time-consuming process and it's great when you get a piece of clothing that you like! Also I spend hours and hours in KZbin and Pinterest watching diy's :3
