According to Bret Hart, he said it was a shame that kick was delivered by Goldberg as he's the furthest from a bad person. Apparently, Goldberg is incredibly nice and Bret never had hard feelings over it because it's impossible to dislike the guy.

Since Bret Hart wrestled a few more matches after Goldberg kicked him (thus adding to the concussion he already suffered), surely it's the medical staff employed by WCW who are to blame for Hart's career ending in 2000. I mean, if the medics had diagnosed The Hitman correctly, he would have taken time off and may have been able to come back, so to lay all of the blame at Bill's feet (well, foot) seems a tad unfair.

@ArcaneAzmadi5 жыл бұрын
@@alexandermorales1002 Since we're bringing this up again 3 years later, Bret's concussion wasn't really Goldberg's fault either- Bret himself said he didn't blame Goldberg, he squarely laid the blame on WCW (specifically their Power Plant training center) for rushing Goldberg through to get him on TV ASAP without giving him really sufficiently thorough training as a wrestler. And who are we to argue with Bret Hart?
@pedrosilvaproductions4 жыл бұрын
@@ArcaneAzmadi I read the same thing. Same problem with reagall match. The reason why his matches are so short is because goldberg cant really give you a long match. holloween havok. Lose to DDP. If you watch that match they did a great job telling the story and goldberg look beatable in that match. The only issue it would had made him mortal but one of the issue later in his career is that it took a cattle prob several powerbomb to defeat him. No one else brought a cattleprod to his matches. Simply put he needed to look a bit more like clark kent for his long term sucess and less like superman. Superman is great but once you beat him the mystique is gone and you have to up the stakes. The other way to do it. is for him to get "injury prior to the match" you know attack backstage and have him come out swinging with maybe perhaps a bad arm or some such. Did book a regular match but have him lose cause of his injury. Now you have the built in excuse of the injury costing him the match and you can go with the streak once more.

Look, I love Goldberg, and I would love to see him come back for another (good) run. But some of the things people complain about with him boggle my mind. If all Goldberg is is a monster with a win streak, then he's not going to be a particularly usable talent (your video on how WWE should have booked him notwithstanding). If he couldn't handle an eight minute match with Regal, then he needed more training. I personally liked it when he lost the belt to Nash, as it meant from then on, they'd have to use him in a way that had already become dull. But the real annoyance here is Linda McMahon saying that she was disappointed in Goldberg's run...all I can think is that's more a reflection on the McMahons and the creative team than it was on Goldberg himself. It seems to me that if anyone at WWE could have changed how Goldberg was being used, that maybe the McMahons only have themselves to blame; it's like the pilot complaining about the way the plane is being flown.

I hate when people shit on Goldberg. Was he green? Yes. Was the streak fudged? Definitely. Was he the greatest ring technician ever? Hell no. But that wasn't the point. He was booked to be a force of nature. The streak was one of those things that works once a generation, and a storyline that needs an unknown to pull it off. That guarantees a green guy who has to work with a lot of jobbers. And to people who say he was a one trick pony; what were Hogan and Ultimate Warrior then? Their move sets combined were a fraction of what Goldberg did (at least in wcw). Also, you're telling me if you were offered the biggest push since Hulkamania, you'd say "Nah, think I gotta train some more"? Doubtful. Lastly; Brett Hart. It's sucks, yes, but shit happens. Hell, Owen almost ended Austin's career (def shortened it) but nobody says he sucked because of that. I just think it's pretty hypocritical that people still hate him for that.

Why is it that people keep saying Goldberg ended Bret Hart's career when Hart himself has stated he had concussions before the Goldberg match he wasn't aware of? He also said he was afraid he was suffering from concussions, but refused to see a doctor. Goldberg's errant kick--which Bret Hart botched reacting soon enough to keep from getting kicked for real--simply gave hart is final match. It was Bret's own stupidity to seek medical advice when he should have that ended his career.

Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg is far from the worst Wrestlemania matches of all time. Hell if you go back and watch most of the earlier WrestleManias, their are matches that wouldn't even be considered good enough for an episode of Smackdown by today's standards. But Lesnar vs Goldberg IS the match that didn't leave up to the hype, which is why it gets shit on so much.

I really think people tend to overstate how bad that match was. If you go back and watch it without any sound, it’s actually an ok match. Ok is what I said, not good, and not terrible. It wasn’t clumsy, and there weren’t any botches. The problem was that since the fans had caught wind of the fact that both of them were leaving the company after that match, they hijacked the match from the moment they came to the ring. All performers (wrestlers included) feed off the energy of the crowd. Since that crowd was booing and taunting them both from the get go, you could see how it really took them out of the match. They just couldn’t get into the performance, but people run it down like it was the worst thing ever.

Is Ryback really his younger brother or was that just a joke?
@gesca5248 жыл бұрын
It's just a joke, but they do look a lot alike in looks, so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually were. But, it is a joke, and so, not brothers.
