Year by year the English language is further diluted and destroyed by the internet and it's inhabitants. I think what doesn't help is how edgy people get when you correct their spelling. It's okay to admit it's ESL for you or you are learning, or you are just a child or adult who never learned. What's not okay is how completely misused the language is.

Technicolor but English doesn't have a singular way of speaking. It's constantly changing like all languages. There's no reason we need to or should stick to these rules if they don't make language any easier to get our ideas across.

"House for Sale... Nobody lives here." ----> When you talk to the girl inside she says "My grandma is into warding off what she believes to be evil spirits. I'm sorry that she startled you." I'd say this implies the sign may have been placed there out of paranoia to ward off the evil spirits by grandma. Doesn't seem misplaced to me, just a little easter egg.

Pokemon Yellow and Crystal were the only legit pokemon I owned. From then on I emulated up until BW2 sadly. I was always that happy kid that would rush the entire game with the starter with 3 unecessary (in competitive context) fire moves and a thunderpunch. Oh that poor typhlosion... 2nd gen was my favorite gen, probably because of the experience, internet was not really a thing for everyone like nowadays and exploring the game without spoiling yourself was truly a fantastic experience. You would keep exploring even though there were no more secrets to discover but hey! You didn't knew about that and it was so enthusiastic. Can't wait to see the 2nd gen megas.

Fábio Eira Pokemon Crystal was my introduction into the series, my mom gave me a GBC as a gift along with the game when I was about 5 (even more impressive because it wasn't even Christmas or my birthday) I played this game non-stop for years, Suicune is my Favorite Legendary just because it was a special moment for me chasing this thing across the world and final battling in a secret tower with my Feralligator and finally catching it. After that I would spend my time chasing the other two but ai never caught them, it was a thrill in of itself
@unknownuser48168 жыл бұрын
Tuckinator inator I got to play the yellow version first on GBC as well but crystal was much more memorable. I still remember when I first encountered one of the other 2 legendaries dogs on the wild and a different soundtrack would start playing and you would go like "what is going on?!" and then the hype would take over but the legendary would just run away before you knew it hahaha It was such a thrill indeed, I miss being that child. And when you realized you were in kanto region again after beating the league you would just pass over because of excitement with so much to do and stuff, oh my god... Always visiting that only friend of yours that had a link cable so we could trade and battle, made me also realize it was so cool to have friends. But time passes over and the magic starts to fade away too sadly. I still love pokemon and absolutely its music, it never gets old enough. I'm really grateful I had to oportunity to experience it.

There was a Pokemon Daycare in Gen 1. Breeding wasn't a thing, but it was directly south of Cerulean City. Leave your pokemon there and it pick it up later as a higher level. There were rumors that you could leave your Pikachu there for a really long time and it would get hidden evolutions. That, of course, wasn't the case, but the internet was barely a thing back then and most people didn't have it and those who did spread false rumors even more.

Number 1 surprised me. I usually don't like surprises, but that was a good one. Thank you.

@@fastestniggaalive 10,000 pokedollars, and since it's level 99, it will only evolve into Metapod as it would be at lv 100 and can't further levvel

I wonder if the text on the Kanto Daycare center was leftover from a possible plan to have the old daycare people have moved out, since the daycare you use is now in Johto.

Ohh the good old days of Pokémon. I still have my Gold version. I sold my crystal and other games including fire red and Emerald and I had a bunch of deoxys and jirachis. I wish I kept those games. Very nostalgic.

+TheCookieBanditBeast He said "The Pokemon daycare was not a thing in Gen 1 and it was only introduced in Gen 2. And of course, going hand in hand with a Pokemon daycare comes breeding" There was a daycare in Gen 1 but there was no breeding until Gen 2. The daycare in Gen 1 was just that, a daycare where someone watched your Pokemon while you were away and it is still that but with the added feature of breeding. He's wrong. It was a "thing" since the beginning but how we know it and how it is used today was not.

I didn’t grow up playing this because it was just before my time so it was the only Pokémon I didn’t play until college. I can easily say it’s my favorite generation now. So classic. Now I have Silver on the yellow/blue Pokémon GBC

great list but... Syy why is your drowzy named Loli? you got something to say? it's ok no judging
@Syy8 жыл бұрын
+GG-27 I named him that because Hypno's first anime appearance is about him abducting kids. But I'm also a confessed lolicon. (see the Top 10 Dragons video.)

Aside from some wording slips and one slightly incorrect fact, this video was well put together, and taught me some things about a game I've been playing for a long time. Props.

Crystal is the best. Not to mention the trainer Crystal is one of my favorite female characters in video games. The fact she wasn't in HG or SS was blasphemy

I'm surprised you didn't talk about the Berserk Gene, a hidden item in the water next to Cerulean Cave. It was a hold item that was basically a one time use of the move Swagger on yourself, boosted attack and becoming confused

The one about connecting the GBC to wifi via cell phone was phenomenal. These developers were ahead of their time

I only knew 1 out of the 10 facts, that's impressive! Also here are some small corrections which I'm sure everyone has already pointed out: *There was a daycare in gen 1, you visited it in this video *Eggs are hatched at level 1 nowadays (since gen 4) *"...it gained less than 54 experience", gaining less than a negative number would have been impossible
@TMek426 жыл бұрын
9, 6 and 4 were the ones i didn't know, which is a surprise since its too often videos like this are just filled with not-too-uncommonly known facts
@missnintendochick6 жыл бұрын
Actually to go with that gameboy cell phone fact. The reason that goldenrod city in the remakes had the global WiFi connection building, was that the original game had the cell phone connector located in that part of the game.

I knew all 10, but I didn't dislike because you're obviously passionate about what you do :)
