Everytime I watched that Aunt May's speech to Peter Parker about "There's an hero in all of us" moment, I bursted into tears because it really gives me hope and for being a hero can make a small good deed one small step at a time and it shows a good difference. "Spider-Man 2" still one of the most memorable superhero movie ever made and always will be.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 hold a special place in my heart not just for how iconic they were, but because they were some of the final and most memorable movies I got to see at the drive-in theater in our town during my childhood. It closed shortly thereafter and sat empty for several years before being torn down. I absolutely loved the drive-in when I was a kid, some of my favorite childhood memories are held there. I still miss that old theater to this day.

I know exactly how you feel , Spider-Man 1 was one of the last movies I seen at my local drive-in before being closed down . So many great movies and memories at that place and I miss it dearly. Oh man I would’ve loved if this movie came out at my drive in, unfortunately the movies they used to get there at the time were a few weeks or up to a month behind the newest releases. However in the last few years during the pandemic they’ve shifted to brand new ones. I saw Black Widow followed by Cruella last time the hubby and I went to ours. Thankfully it’s quite a popular spot where I live so if it ever closes that’s only due to no one wanting to run it anymore cuz they make their money at mine.

Still the best of the amazing Sam Rami's Spiderman trilogy and Tobey the G.O.A.T Spiderman. I also love how the plot keeps moving forward and everyone has their own individual stories. How Sam managed to let poor peter gotten beaten up. A sort of "lost to time" thing about this movie that I love is how pro-New York it is. It's definitely a nod to that post-9/11 NY where a feeling of the kind of unity, that can only be born from tragedy, was strongly felt by the audience. It makes this film a very interesting time capsule, and it makes me smile every time.

Some of you guys are probably gonna come after me for this but..., The Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies are great, but I still liked The Amazing Spider-Man movie the best. I honestly find Andrew Garfield's portrayal as Peter Parker more relatable, and his portrayal of Spider-Man felt more comic book accurate with the smart ass one liners and the web shooters, also I think Peter and Gwen Stacy had better chemistry than Maguire and Dunst. Hell even Sam Raimi and Stan Lee thought the 2012 remake was better.

Yeah i like how nobody to this day is point out the obvious effect that is about to befall peter parker in the later series of Spider Man 4 when it happens. Here it is: Spider Man loses his powers, simply because as Sam Remi's Version of the Animated Spiderman Series, Peter loses his powers due to him transforming into a MAN Spider that is the stuff of Nightmares. And yes he becomes the Creature and Six Arms and than squares off against Raven the Hunter, Punisher and Iron Man. where it becomes a Battle for Kill Parker or Cure Parker type of deal.

Alfred Molina is such an overlooked actor. He's terrific in everything he's in and I was so pleased to see him turn up in No Way Home as he was terrific as Doc Ock in Spider-man 2. Molina is rarely given lead roles in big films but he always manages to make his presence felt, even if he's part of an ensemble (watch Jim Jarmusch's 'film Coffee and Cigarettes' to see how well he plays off Steve Coogan in their portmanteau story together). He's also absolutely brilliant as Kenneth Halliwell opposite Gary Oldman in 1987s 'Prick Up Your Ears', a biopic about outrageous playwright Joe Orton. The pre-MCU Spider-Man films are very hit & miss to me but I agree that Spider-man 2 is probably the highlight of those five films. It has a good script, is well cast, has great effects and is well edited.
