Just a head ups peoples, at 9:28 I refer to the character “Squints” as “Squirts”, something that I’m noticing is pissing a few people off. It was just a slip of the tongue hence the other parts of the video I call him “Squints”. It was an accident, I know saying “I’m not perfect” is something of a cliché but… yea unfortunately I’m not perfect, sometimes when I make a video I have all these names buzzing around my head at full speed in order for me to try and get it right but yes sometimes I’ll get a name or pronunciation wrong, and sometimes while editing these mistakes slip through the cracks. Anyway I hope everyone is happy and well, Stay Fresh. The best is yet to come

I live in Utah, and a lot of this was also filmed in a city called Midvale, particularly for the downtown shots. I had some friends whose fathers worked on sets for the movie, and I used to live in Midvale and recognize the streets used. Also, temperatures over 100 are common in Utah over the summer. It wasn't a heat wave, it was just typical summer weather that we get every year. We've already had several 100-degree days this spring, even.

I grew up a few blocks away from the pool, if you look carefully at the beginning of the pool scene you can see the rampage which was a 3 story hydraulically controlled slide that has since been demolished. Many of the old cars that you see in the film were the property of my friends dad who at the time ran a motel and classic car museum. I now live and work relatively close to where Vincents drugstore was, it is now an abandoned empty shell (sad) and my family raised and bred English Mastiffs at the time, sadly none were in the film.

Hey Minty! Just wanted to say that I love your videos and your movie choices. Keep it up, man! Anyway.... I've gotta say, "the Sandlot" was one of my all time favorite movies growing up... Dare I say it.... I'll love it for-EV-errrr! Lol N-E-who, I digress... I just-just love your videos and I'm really happy that you should keep doing what you're doing. I stream your videos from my TV, which allows me to subscribe and like videos twice. ❤️😁 Oh, and I wanted to say, I think you look better without those sunglasses. I thought you looked very handsome without them. 😋 Regardless of how I think you should present yourself, I still think you're fantastic and you deserve to be seen by a lot more people. Much love from Orlando, FL! Keep it up, mah dude! And I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

"Filmed in Utah." Yep. I remember seeing the movie and thinking that the pool scene looked just like a pool/park near where I lived called Lorin Farr Park. Some folks thought I was just crazy. Nope!

Called him "Squirts" at 9:28ish...hysterical :) Love your videos man and this one is about one of my favorite movies. Watching The Sandlot with my daughter (7 at the time) was a huge moment for us.

"All characters and events depicted in this film are entirely fictitious. Any similarity to actual events or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental." Obviously someone didn't read all of the end credits.... to every fictional movie ever made.

I live in Utah and they actually have a restaurant called the hook and ladder that is set up right in front of The sandlot. A year or two ago they actually had a sandlot reunions were a lot of the actors showed up & did autographs at the restaurant. If you ever find yourself in Salt Lake City just look up hook and ladder as they are trying to make sure no-one demolishes The sandlot, they serve really good food to.

I’d love this movie, regardless, but it has a special place in my heart, having swum in that very swimming pool. Never will get enough of that “Scab eater!” - “Butt sniffer!” exchange.

“Michael ‘Squints’ Palledorous walked a little taller that day, and we had to tip our hats to him. He was lucky she hadn’t beaten the crap out of him. We wouldn’t have blamed her. What he’d done was sneaky, rotten and low. And cool."

@@benphillips9973 "The Sandlot" has a lot of great lines, but to me, "He was lucky she hadn't beaten the crap out of him. We wouldn't have blamed her." is the funniest line in the movie. I imagine it doesn't come up as much in casual conversation because there's less reason to say it as opposed to "You're killing me Smalls."

@@skyden24195 I agree haha I also enjoyed the..."He had kissed a woman, and he had kissed her long. And good." 😂🤣 It's an adults voice narrating but it's such a kiddy way of saying it. I randomly have numerous quotes from this movie filter through my head almost weekly...it's quite sad LOL

The woman who played Wedy Peffercorn also played in a horror film starring Denise Richards and the guy from Bones called "Valentine" 2000 or 2001
