As someone who was into powerlifting before basketball, the biggest misconception is muscle mass/weight = strength. To an extent yes it definitely helps but isn’t necessary. For example, Wilt weighed 275lbs when he played Vs Shaq who was listed at 315 during his time in LA, Wilt was documented as being stronger. I think Vic definitely has to bulk up but not too much as his play style is so predicated on his ability to move and have a smooth shot, too much mass would get in the way of that and decrease his stamina. That said he needs some mass to bump down low with the real bigs, I think his sweet spot will be around 240-265Lbs. Just has to work on strength training too.
