Even though I'm 18, Discovering the Waterfront got me through my entire senior year of high school. The album is just phenomenal. Silverstein will never know how much they mean to me.

Terrance Ford me too man. I am happy to hear they had the same influence on some else's life. I was 27 when I heard DWF and I literally was he rocker girl who hated screaming in music and dude, I fell in love with this lyrics. He was just coming out of a long term relationship that crushed him and so was I. So, I never made the mistake that I did with other fav bands like breaking benjamin and made a song 'our song' BS bc I never wanted Silverstein's music to remind me of anything besides strength and being strong enough to get out of my addiction to this man and the horrible shit he put me thru (I said goodbye to him finally several months after listening to Silverstein and they inspire me so much. I met the band a few times a Masquerade and it is the only time I have been nervous seeing someone famous. My friend had to basically talk for me and she does not even listen to them, but she promised me if she saw Shane, she would get him to take a picture with me and she did 2014 ( best moment). One of Silverstein's CDs has been in my car CD player since 2007. I steam other music, but listen to Silverstein literally everyday and my friends get so sick of it, but I never do and it's weird bc that has never happened. Like 2 years ago, I got he lyrics, 'So ironic that a heart made by man, when broken is easily fixed. But a human hurt can last for a lifetime'. I love it and sorry this reply was so long. I just love the band and they are super nice especially Billy. He is outgoing and made my awkwardness less noticeable ❣️

I want to thank Hawthorne Heights for introducing me to Silverstein when I bought their "If Only You Were Lonely" album, it came with a DVD showing many artists that introduced to a lot of bands that I still listen to today, Silverstein being one of them. I had to buy Discovering The Waterfront after discovering them and that record also changed my life. One of my favorites, I still listen to it a lot and the 13 year old emo in me cried my heart out when I saw them perform the 10 Year Anniversary tour

They were also on the reissue of silence in black and white, which is epic. Helped widen my song knowledge of them. Thank you Hawthorne heights

I like how he's seemingly super honest about everything. "I'm usually kinda lazy when we record," "I try to write as few lyrics as possible..." "I didn't want Always and Never on the album..." I think it's funny how a lot of people are probably thinking "damn, this guy must work hard in a well-established band like this" and he's like: "Lol, not really"

If My Heroine wasn't on the album I probably wouldn't be here. That song has changed me forever. I even have it tattooed on my thigh because every time I'm feeling shitty I look down and read the lyrics and I instantaneously feel better.

I think the same, probably the most important song of them from my personal point of view, I discovered them by it, and it's stuck in my since almost 13 years ago. Seen them in their tour for the first time 2 days aho and was amazing⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

My Heroine and Smile in Your Sleep are my favorites from the album. Especially My Heroine because the first time I saw them they dedicated the song to all the girls in the crowd and 5 years later it happened again. But the lyrics have always stood out to me

Call it Karma, specially acoustic, is a big influence of mine. Was literally the first song I played on Guitar. And I still jam that with much love. Plus, this band gave me the greatest friend of all time, (we have been best friends for almost 9 years). Fucking love Shane Told. FUCKIG LOVE SILVERSTEIN.

I got an early pressing of the singles off this album from Victory because I was a Street Team manager. I pre-ordered Discovering the Waterfront as soon as they allowed the preorders. I saw Silverstein several times in Atlanta and Portland and have never been disappointed! I also have several of the album posters and tour posters from the Victory street team days. We had to plaster the posters everywhere, I miss those days so much!!!!!

My name is alexandra silverstein. My friends in middle school introduced me to the band silverstein because of my last name. I loved the discovering the waterfront album, I would take it everywhere so I lost it 3 times but kept re-buying it lol. Went to a concert to see them when I was in high school. That album helped me get through a bad break up. Arrivals and departures is a good album too. P.s. I’m married now but keeping my last name.
