Could you take your osprey backpacks on as hand luggage when flying, or did you need to check it?

We were able to bring it on as a carry on for most flights!

@@AM-ei1br technically we have the 55L but there is a small removable backpack that is 15L We didn't bring that with us, so it was only 40L !
