I love this idea. Better Call Saul shows how good a prequel can be. I'd love a sequel too. Paige, Stan, Henry of course, Philip and Elizabeth, Clark and Martha, even Aderholt, Claudia, Oleg, Oleg's parents, Mischa, so many characters I'd love to see how they will be doing

I'd prefer an actual sequel, how the Jennings end up in the next few years as the Soviet Union collapses, what side they end up on vis a vis Putin. And does Oleg get released, do the parents ever get to see the son again, etc

Surely you realize that at least half of these are known to anybody who's even somewhat a fan of the show. I knew that some of these would be already known, but you should have tried harder to dig up things that hadn't been published in pretty much every story about the series.

Noah and Keri gave convincing performances, so Its pleasing that they got on board. I particularly enjoyed the final episode with poor Stan recognising the betrayal, but having the good sense to let the sleepers go to serve a greater good. Paige electing to stay and Stan's interactions with Henry and Renee at the end were brilliantly conceived. And the final scene of Philip and Elizabeth surveying the frosty Moscow landscape and plaintively reassuring themselves was a satisfying deceit. Of course, we know how it turned out following the coup that removed Russia's best hope and installed Yeltsin and the oligarchs.

I am Retired Navy 75-95 and I really enjoyed the program. The Eye Candy helped but years later I found out things like this went on in real life. In 1978 I was in Singapore on the USS Knox FF-1052 that was anchored way out and we used a Water Taxi to go ashore. The Pier we came to was also used by a Soviet Navy Ship also using a Water Taxi. We would stand feet apart waiting for our Taxi. They were in Uniform and we were in Civilian cloths. They had a KGB Handler in a classic trench coat with a folded newspaper under his arm watching that the Soviet Sailors did not talk to the US Sailors. Likely the newspaper had a Microphone recording what the American Sailors said. We were given a Port Safety Brief prior to arrival that included a caution about the Soviet Sailors and also about "Honey Traps". Weeks later a Sea Story of Singapore liberty was heard where a American Sailor after hearing the Safety Brief on HIS Ship decided to have some fun. Not from my ship. He turned his gold ring around so it looked like a wedding band. Went to a Singapore Bar and met up with some other American Sailors. The guy started talking about a new Radar his ship was going to get and how he was already trained on it.... Moments later some Ladies showed up and later a girl took him back to her place. After a night of sex the next morning the girl showed him some 8 x 10 color pictures of him making love with her. She said... Tell me all about the new Radar... He said WHAT? OR we will show the pictures to your WIFE.... He looked at his hand... Turned the ring around... A High School Class Ring... He said.. I am NOT Married.... And I am a Boiler Tech on this OLD Ship... I make FIRE to make STEAM so the ship can get underway.... I know nothing about a RADAR... It was all a JOKE... I wanted to see if the "Honey Pot" stories in the Ships Safety Brief were TRUE.... Looks like it IS.... HEY... Can I have that picture to show my Buddies....???? In my 10 years of Sea Duty on 3 ships, I visited 27 countries. Spent a lot of time taking pictures of Soviet Ships and Aircraft as they would check US out and WE would check THEM out... I even made 8 x 10 copies of the best ones and sold them on Payday to the Sailors on my ship that wanted them. I LAUGH at the TV News stories of the Soviet Ships coming CLOSE to US Navy Ships.... This went on my whole Navy Career.... Nothing NEW... It is just because of the 24 hour news cycle now... Before no one except Sailors knew. My ship the USS Coontz DDG-40 home ported in Norfolk even got into a RACE with a Soviet Navy Ship about the same size as my ship in the Mediterranean in 1981. It just happened... We sped up and they matched... We sped up more and we were side by side for a few miles.... Very close... They got ahead of us then pulled in front of us so they won... We slowed down for safety and moments later black smoke came from the Soviet Ship. They went Dead in the Water... They kept turning so the right or Starboard side of the ship was always facing away from us. We asked if they needed help... They said NO thank you... Months later I happen to see a Sub Periscope Picture complete with cross hairs of the Soviet Ship from that day taken by a US Sub. It showed a black hole blown the Starboard side of the Soviet Ship... Something in the Engineering Spaces blew up on the end of the high speed run. Likely when they went to slow down the Engine from full speed. The Chief Engineer from that day is on the Coontz Facebook Page and is still proud of our run against the Soviet Ship. They pulled in front of us. I was on the Flying Bridge that day and have Super 8 movies of the whole race and color pictures... It really happened.... Need to get them super 8 movies digitized... In 1989 the Soviet Navy visited San Diego and I was on my ship USS Buchanan DDG-14 at Pier 1 and the Soviet Fleet was at Pier 2. They had a big party on the pier put on by the City and the Navy. We ate Burgers and drank BEER together.... We traded hats... That was during a cooling in the Cold War.... We are back at it again..... I think the episode of The American's that got me the most was when the Ship Building Company was moving a piece of equipment to make Submarine Propellers and they were tasked to get a copy of the program that made the Navy Propellers. Later feedback from the "Center" or Moscow was that a Russian Sub using a copy of the American Propeller design were all killed when the design was flawed and the propeller broke off. The insinuation was the program was planted as a failed design in case it was copied.... Just a story but you wonder if things like that really went on.... One more Cold War Story.... Back in 1978 I was on the Navy Ship USS Knox FF-1052 home ported in Yokosuka, Japan. We were tasked to be the Plane Guard for the Aircraft Carrier Kitty Hawk. Our job was to follow the Carrier and render assistance should a Aircraft splash into the Ocean. That day a Soviet Navy Tin Can was also with us. They were watching the Aircraft Carrier. So just after 10 PM that night the Knox carried out a "Mission"... All the Jets had landed and our "Tin Can" was done for the night. We then stayed further away from the Carrier for safety. Our Captain Hartman then directed some guys to shine some Flashlights up into our high Radar Area. They used White Lights... This was a violation of Darken Ship. No white lights topside after sunset, only navigation lights for safety. So we then used a flashlight tied to a line used for flags and hauled it up and it shined light all over like someone climbed up on the mast.... So we got the Soviet Navy Ship's Attention.... We then went Dead in the Water.... Or All Stop... The Soviet ship then started going around us at a distance wondering what we were doing..... Meanwhile.... The Kitty Hawk continued on as we were stopped..... The Kitty Hawk was actually off to meet another ship in the morning and WE were TASKED to keep IVAN interested in US and let the Carrier go over the Horizon..... This went on until Daybreak... I was up that night and saw the whole thing as I was on Watch in what we called the Gun Director from Midnight to 6 AM. It is on top of the Bridge and is a big metal box with a radar on top used to aim the 5 inch gun. I was on watch as were doing mock war training with no shooting... We called it Condition 3 Steaming of the ship. So at 6 AM I get off watch and I am standing above the bridge and I see the Soviet Ship sending us a flashing light message. The Signalmen on duty took the message in English and took it to the Captain standing on the Port Bridge Wing. I was standing just above.... The message was.... "Where is Kitty Hawk?" Captain Hartman's reply was.... "North Carolina". Ivan was not too happy.... He sent back... "How does it feel to be in the SECOND Largest Navy in the World?" Captain Hartman sent back.... "How does it feel to be in the SECOND BEST Navy in the World?"..... And with that... Ivan started off to find the Kitty Hawk.... And that Friends is why I loved the Program.... Wish they would do another series.....

The stars of the show have made "special agents" of us all. In real life, a hat and sunglasses, long hair or a Marine uniform....they have burned their basic features into our brains. In real life, the actors can't blend in at Barnes & Noble or restaurant or a coffeeshop anymore.

All in all, it was a brilliant Series. But i missed two major events that were been just ignored by the screenwriters: The Chernobyl made a massive impact and downfall of the creditibility of the ussr. It became clearly visible how disorganized and the inner soviet system truly was. Second, and way more important, was the flight of Matthias Rust. The flight of this young, crazy german boy who just flew from to moscow and landed on the Red Place crumbled the soviet military to dust. The border defense showed to be just useless and made the whole Ussr defenseless against any potential Invasion

I watched this show on an android box. When it got to S6 Ep 9, it cut off right after it showed Keri Russell gathering things up from the home after a call from Matthew about him staying late for work. Is that how it ended, or did the box cut it off. Seems like a weird place to stop the show.

The actors were all excellent. My only complaint is- Paige. I dont know of any teen who questions their parents the way this character did. Teens don't care. They are egocentric and busy with their own lives. They also don't demand to know where they've been. Tell me the truth? Parents don't need to explain themselves to a kid. This angered me that they deferred to their children as if they were adults. Yet they didn't have a job, drive a car, vote or pay any bills. My dad would have said- when you pitch in and pay your way, I might feel like answering a few questions. That character was unrealistic. No way would I put all our lives in the hands of a whiny blabbing hormonal teen. Ridiculous.
