If you watched the interview of Bernie Mardsen by Lee Anderton, you will see his famous guitar "The Beast". It's a 59 Les Paul with a kind of lemon burst finish. But the guitar began it's life with red paint. It faded over the years to that lovely color. So I decided to try and artificially age my Les Paul by storing it in direct sunlight. It's been almost a year now of about 5 hours of direct sunlight per day. It has changed about 10 shades since then. So I decided to just put it under UV plant lights 24/7. It's slowly becoming lemon burst. It just takes forever! I am making a video of the progress. I will post it when I get there.
