Yes, counselors say “Do not have expectations of anyone.” I run my life like that now and am much happier. We cannot control anyone other than ourselves.

People are just uncaring and sadly becoming more so in this era. However, I agree that we are to not have high expectations. One thing I learned the hard way is to stop expecting people to do for you what you'd do for them.

I don't agree with that...most people I encounter are truly caring and today in general people are becoming more caring. But too many of us have unrealistic expectations of others and yes, have distorted ideas of what constitutes a caring person. EG...I see so many people give holiday gifts to others expecting them to give them back something in return. This mindset ruins Christmas for so many people. To avoid this and to make my Christmasas happier, I give gifts with no strings attached. Especially if somebody is extremely busy or is tight with money, I reassure the person that they are under no obligation or pressure to gift me in return. This makes my holidays far happier.
@kaym.2854

@@Coryraisa Yeah. It's definitely unrealistic to have high expectations, but I was mostly referring to the fact that people seek their own selfish desires and hardly reciprocate kindness. People are slowly becoming more apathetic. (we see it all the time with social media where people would take out their phones to record than actually help) And because of how ill-intended some people are, it's difficult to trust or help without first thinking about it. Emotional intelligence is sorely lacking because it's easier for people to make an enemy than a friend. I'm happy that you don't experience it (embrace that) but I've seen too much apathy and selfishness to say otherwise. Genuiness, kindness and a caring nature is rare in more ways than one. We don't have to agree. That's ok. Nevertheless. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas. 🎄🌰🎅

@@kaym.2854 While, yes, there is unfortunately a lot of selfishness around, most people are not evil or heartless, so I wouldn't be too quick to write off humanity as hopeless or as "bad." Instead of complaining endlessly about how selfish and uncaring "most" people are, do volunteer work yourself. You'll find that in many cities, the volunteer slots fill up quickly. And there you will meet many caring, unselfish people. And yes, have a very happy Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

No subject is off limits, she straight with me, I would give her the moon if she needed it. There are people I care about and will listen to at any time, but I will never let them close.

This video is so wrong that I can't believe it. No one _literally_ expects any of these things, and it's an insult to say so. Take the first one: you expect someone to agree with you sometimes, in particular cases, such as when you can provide them with good reasons why they should. If in response to your reasons, that person said, "you can't expect me always to agree with you," that's a non-sequitur. What would be your normal reaction?

So basically, never expect other people to give a damn about you. You are the only one who will. I learned the hard way how true that is. Reminds me of an old Quarterflash song - "Don't ask for love, don't ask for pity, don't ask for me, welcome to the city."

But universally with all of humanity collectively (people you know and everyone else), especially don’t expect anyone to care about you, great things happening in your life, or your problems in general.

Namaste Gee, Vedas:Svetashvatara Upanishad chapter 4 verse 19 As well as in: “There is no image of Him” (Svetashvatara Upanishad 4:19) It is mentioned in Yajurved Chapter 32 Verse 3 “There is no image of Him” (Yajurved 32:3) It is also mentioned in Yajurveda Chapter 40 verse 9 “They enter darkness those who worship natural things (for e.g. air, water, fire, etc.). They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti i.e. created things (for e.g. table, chair, car, idol etc.) (Yajurved 40:9) Idol worship, which is very common amongst the Hindus, is prohibited in Hinduism. It is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 7 verse 20: “Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires they worship demigods i.e. idols.(Bhagavad Gita 7:20) * Hindu Scriptures: "There is only ONE God, not the second; not at all, not at all, not in the least bit."[Brahma Sutra] * Hindu Scriptures: "He is ONE ONLY without a second." [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1] Hindu Scriptures: " O friends, do not worship ANYBODY but Him, the Divine One. Praise Him ALONE."[Rigveda 8:1:1] Hindu Scriptures: "I am the goal of life, the LORD and support of all, the inner witness, the abode of all. I am the only refuge, the ONE true friend; I am the beginning, the staying, and the end of creation; I am the womb and the eternal seed. I am heat; I give and withhold the rain. I am immortality and I am death; I am what is and what is not"[Bhagavad Gita 9:18-19] Hindu Scriptures: "There is no likeness of Him." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19] * Hindu Scriptures: "His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20] * Hindu Scriptures: "That which cannot be seen by the eyes, but by which the eyes see, [Kena Upanishad] * Hindu Scriptures: "The Formless Supreme Spirit that pervades the universe can have no material representation, likeness or image." -- (Yajur Veda Hindu Scriptures: "He is bodiless and pure." [Yajurveda 40:8] Scriptures: "Of Him there are neither parents nor lord." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9] Hindu Scriptures: "They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, but those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time" (Yajur Veda)

Salam, Shlama, Shlomo, Shalom, Peace. Trinitarians are inoculated from rationality, facts and logic. It is no surprise that basic reasoning is entirely lost on those that believe that the creator became one of those he created in order to save the created from his own self. Not to mention the incoherence in the scripture, never minding the creed itself. Matthew 4:1) Jesus was tempted [James 1:13) God cannot be tempted (John 1:29) Jesus was seen (1 John 4:12) No man has ever seen God (Acts 2:22) Jesus was and is a man, sent by God (Numbers 23:19, Hosea 11:9) God is not a man (Hebrews 5:8-9) Jesus had to grow and learn (Isaiah 40:28) God doesn't ever need to learn (1 Corinthians 15: 3-4) Jesus Died (1 Timothy 1:17) God cannot die (Hebrews 5:7) Jesus needed salvation (Luke 1:37) God doesn't need salvation (John 4:6) Jesus grew weary (Isaiah 40:28) God cannot grow weary (Mark 4:38) Jesus slept (Psalm 121: 2-4) God doesn't sleep (John 5:19) Jesus wasn't all powerful (Isaiah 45: 5-7) God is all powerful (Mark 13:32) Jesus wasn't all knowing (Isaiah 46:9) God is all knowing

In a world where having a personal cheerleading squad sounds great, it's important to realize that not everyone will think alike. Insisting on everyone agreeing or conforming only leads to frustration and conflict. We should try to appreciate the diversity of opinions and quirks that make life interesting. Trying to control others or expecting constant support can cause resentment. While having a support system is wonderful, expecting others to solve our problems is overly optimistic. Let's celebrate different perspectives, value individuality, and nurture our own happiness. After all, who desires a world where everyone agrees on everything? That sounds utterly dull!

Don't expect everyone to agree with you? Hell I have a hard enough time getting one person to agree with me anybody that would expect these things from people at least all of them would have some kind of issue. This is communication for nitwits. I would be hard-pressed to find someone that I thought should agree with me on all issues. I really wish brainy dose would concentrate on quality instead of quantity, pumping these things out that anybody with a modicum of sense would know. I mean if you don't know most of these things by now, you're lucky to be alive.

Most people ARE nitwits. All the BS and polarization going on in society is perpetuated by nitwits being manipulated by the media and others that stand to benefit. These people are willing to destroy families and relationships in an attempt to be right or feel validated for things that, in the scheme of human existence, don’t matter.

Without help each other makes more people never trust each others rather than suffering isolation. Loneless, have more and more mental problems! That’s why we often hear ; “I don’t care ,,,,you r the best,”I’m very independent, “,with less trust and love makes bad relationships, with the WiFi use is more make people home living of the jobs and schools ,unfortunately one one perfect no matter who u r and how rich you r ; the less care and help are killing more and more people, most people can’t live with their dreams as normal people , only very few people can be successful in part of the life , people individually can’t solve their own problems without help! This video is so lame. No one _literally_ expects any of these things, and it's an insult to say so. But worse than that, it's misleading about how basic communication works. Take the first one: you expect someone to agree with you sometimes, in particular cases, such as when you can provide them good reasons for why they should. If in response to your reasons, that person said, "you can't expect me always to agree with you," that's a non-sequitur. What would your reaction be? You'd assume they were reacting to something other than the matter at hand -- maybe they are still unhappy about the last time you insisted that they agree with you, WITHOUT your providing them with a good reason. And . . . You'd probably be right. Not rocket science!! 😒
