Love the crackled pumpkin! I'm so glad you did this because I was trying to use glue for crackle and it was a total fail. Now I know how to do it right and I can fix my project. Question about the rust on the pumpkin. Can you stop the process if you get a color you like? Love your projects!! ❤❤

Thank you!! With the Modern Masters the directions don't say anything about being able to stop the process. They don't even include any product to seal the project when done. Modern Masters was purchased in a kit. But, I just received the Dixie Belle Rusting Products in the mail and there is a product called Patina Guard and it says it stops the process. I haven't used it yet, so I'm not sure how it all works . With Dixie Belle you buy the products individually it's not in a kit....so I hope I purchased everything I need. I'll try and include it in an upcoming video. Thanks again!! 😊

I much prefer the second pumpkin bundt pan color finish, but do you seal them? I like bows, but sometimes I think a simple knot with tails look better. Now, the crackle finish pumpkin....be still my heart! I might have been tempted to wax the first finish just to see what it would look like, because I think it wasn't that bad...just different. But boy do I like the finished piece. And I really like the trio of wooden pumpkins too, and the plastic one with the transfers....wow. Nice. How does the Crayola brand of clay work compared to IOD or others you might have tried? I think your floral wire pumpkin display is very pretty and the eucalyptus leaves really set it off. Sharon's turned out beautiful.....I LOVE those colors she used. I'd give this a 10/10 for both of you and I'm glad I watched, LOL!

Thank you Sharon...those are great questions. The Modern Masters did not come with a sealer and the instructions did not mention sealing it, so I did not seal it. I just bought the Dixie Belle Patinas, just for a comparison and DB has a product that says sealer and it also says it stops the rusting process. However, for the projects I used it on...it really didn't rust anymore after it initially dried. This morning I applied the sealer to my projects (2 plastic pumpkins) and the sealer has definitely changed the color of both patinas. This time I used a green patina and a blue patina....the blue had the most change. I guess it's not a bad thing, both are deeper colors just unexpected. Also, the sealer smells terrible! I have used IOD, DAS and Crayola. IOD is my favorite especially for intricate moulds. I think it is the softest of the 3...I have arthritis in my hands and having a softer clay makes a difference. I only bought the Crayola because I was completely out and i could purchase it from Walmart. It is fine for simple moulds; it just breaks apart to easily on the intricate moulds. I am using Crayola in my next video for the crust on a fake bake pie and it worked out perfectly. I tried to use it for little leaves for the center of the pie and was so happy I found some IOD in my stash to use for the leaves because the crayola kept breaking. It's been awhile since I used the DAS and even though it was less expensive than the IOD, the IOD is easier for me to work with this darn arthritis. I don't think I'll be purchasing the Crayola again, unless it was for something like the fake bakes. Sorry for the novel to answer your questions. 😊🤦‍♀️. I won’t be trying the Crayola clay and I like IOD but it’s expensive and no matter WHAT I do to seal it, it will dry out before I get it all used. Generally, I don’t use that much at a time and not very often lately. Hoping that will change in the coming months. I have some paints that are primers and sealers in one and some aren’t. A lot to know about these products! I like what you do snd look forward to seeing more👍😀💕

Great projects, love them all. i have tried crayol air dry clay, it was so sticky i gave up. What is your secret?

Thank you!! 😊❤️ I live in Las Vegas and I've never had it sticky....I wonder if humidity in an area effects the clay. In the video I'm working on now, I tried to use it with some moulds that have intricate detail and it just kept breaking apart because I thought it was too dry even though i just opened a brand new tub... I even tried to add some water to it...which wasn't good then it just stuck to the mould and I couldn't get it out😳. Maybe I just got lucky that it worked with the other moulds....they were a less intricate design. Sorry, I wasn't any help!!
