I’ve noticed that when Ariana dresses similar to other celebrities (she has said she draws inspiration from women like Audrey Hepburn) it’s praised and seen as an homage but when other celebrities do something as basic as put their hair in a ponytail, wear winged eyeliner, thigh highs, or an oversized sweater they are immediately attacked by her fans. she didn’t make ponytails popular or stylish, she just has had her hair like that for so long that she’s known for her hair. you don’t see girls who dress alternative/baggy clothes being accused of copying billie eillish, (a style she was known for) theyre just seen as dressing in a certain style
