@@c0zy.548 The second season was already showing some cracks, given that the writing team of the first season had left, but the third and fourth seasons were particularly contrived and poorly written. I think the most egregious example is how Clementine survived getting bit. Hours passed between the walker chomping on her leg and it getting amputated. The axe AJ used was covered in walker blood, which the comics tell us can infect you as well. And even if Clementine had never gotten bit, there is absolutely no way her and AJ would have survived getting surrounded in that barn unless an army showed up to gun down the walkers laying siege to it.

Despite many things in the Season 2 that look like a flaw to me, I think this part is not so bad. Despite how emotionally powerful the ending where you choosing Kenny, most likely all attempts to denigrate him were some kind of test of feelings. Like, "The character you like may not be that good guy... but are you ready to accept it in spite of everything?". To some extent, he's like Joel from TLOU - he'll do bad things, but you know him too well to judge or condemn.

@@user-puthison Yeah, but the way they handled Kenny in Episode 5 and the end of Episode 4 was a bit much. He was constantly bickering against the group and some dialogues you picked would have him completely 180 against you and be hostile out of nowhere even if you’ve had his back the whole time prior. It felt a bit much and extremely one sided from Telltale, like they NEEDED you to hate Kenny so that their ending would at least somewhat work. Except it didn’t as Jane became universally hated for her selfishness and putting AJ at risk just to prove a meaningless point. They really should have went for the fight between Luke and Kenny like they had originally planned for the ending. Not only did it make more sense narratively since we got to see Luke evolve throughout the entire season, but it would have also made the choice much harder since nobody thought Luke deserved to die any more than Kenny.

I hated how everyone in the group treated Kenny. He lost alot and they didnt even consider it. For example at the lodge Kenny shoots at Bills dude and for a good reason. He sees his friends tied up and does the best choice (If anybody wants to argue think about if it was your friends). Another example is how they are like "aah we are scared of kenny hes bad" WTF do you expect in a spam of 3 days he lost his 2 new friends and his girlfriend, was made a prisoner and got his eye crushed. After that they get into a gun fight against bandits and everyone want to keep the obvious bandit alive even tho he just ambushed them.

I did the same. Seeing him again shocked me though and I Instantly decided to side with him. I had no regrets about it. Sure he did things that were..questionable but he was always a good guy. He always cared about those around him and he certainly cared about Clementine. I was happy to see him again. Clementine was happy to see someone from her past, someone who was good friends with her dad. Everything he ever did even if it was irrational was always intended in a good way and was always for those he cared about his family and when he lost them, the family he made afterwards.

Wonder how Kenny or Lee would’ve dealt with abusive Ed Pelletier Kenny (s1) would’ve probably got in Ed’s face, telling him that Duck and Clementine don’t need to see that kind of stuff as things are messed up as already is. Maybe it’ll even get to the point where he’ll try starting a brawl with him Lee probably would’ve got in Ed’s face as well and probably subdue him if he saw him hitting Carol. Maybe even knock him down a peg like he did with Andy St. John Kenny (s2) would’ve straight up messed Ed up if he saw him hit Carol. It’ll kinda be like how Shane manhandled him, except Kenny would have a much harder time throwing down a heavier guy. Once Kenny gets the upper hand on Ed (probably using a weapon or his speed), he’d probably brutally bash his face in with his two fisticuffs until someone eventually pulls Kenny off him (like the girls and Jim). Beat him nearly to death because of the trauma of losing his whole family, then seeing someone else treating their family like trash. Jim would probably start arguing with Kenny, which would start another fight within the camping group. Of course Kenny would easily take out Jim, and afterwards Shane having to hold Kenny back

Kenny has been and always will be my favorite character. I like his character and I agree with his values. However, I'll admit that he's a lot easier to like if you take his side. It's understandable if other people don't like him if they disagree with him. Love is Kenny's driving force in the apocalypse, and love conquers all, even self-preservation and rational thought. Being emotionally-driven in the apocalypse obviously has its downsides but, in scenes like these, we can see the positives it can have as well.

Because he’s a terrible person when you actually pay attention to him throughout the series. The only episode where he was entirely a good guy was the first one.

It's hypocritical to take a high moral street when criticizing Kenny, because people that criticize based on morals often ignore those signs for survival anyway in others and themselves when it's convenient for them, they're just as bad and unwilling to acknowledge it. The moral argument holds no ground in a world as sick as twd and only matters as long as you hold on to who you are, on who your willing to do horrible things for. Kenny in that regard would do anything for you (Clementine) because that's who he is, and that's why he's a great character. And anyone that has said otherwise, or tried their best to always be a "good person" in a world not bound by moral ethics has wounded up dead and/or taken advantage of.

Kenny will leave you for dead twice if you refuse to help him needlessly kill Larry, he will endanger the entire group instead of accepting Duck’s condition, even after everything you’ve done for him he needs to be convinced to help find Clementine when she’s kidnapped, he starts shit with the cabin survivors, recklessly endangers everyone in the situation with carver. There’s plenty more, but I think you get the idea. He was literally BRAGGING about leaving a girl to be eaten alive in this very video. Barely 3 months into the apocalypse and he’s excited by using a random human being as live bait.
